Hey Glen and KK love your Guitar playing. You both inspired me to pick up the Guitar.I think it would be cool if you both put out instructional DVD'S.

Ditto that Jo19366, what you say I agree, however I feel that the underlying truth is that advanced ticket sales were poor.  But alas most kiwi's are last minute wonders who buy at the gate or a week before.  Still whatever the real reason for them cancelling, has broken my heart.....do you know how many times I've played the live DVD's?   No band would be as good to see live as JP and even thou I've not seen them live I know it as fact cos I KNOW!!!

To "The Dreamer"  that is the most nicest thing to offer us kiwi's. How generous and a wonderful person you must be. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.  However I would more than likely catch the Perth show, but to be honest I don't think I'm gonna be able to get to Australia in the short time I have now to save the money.

Alas I could be destined to never see my Metal Gods except on the TV and print.  That sucks a big fat Kumara!

Anyway Def Leppard anyone?   no comparison as an alternative. :)

Hi,

I just thought the band should know that when you go to Live Nation and search for Judas Priest concerts the August 6th show in Camden, NJ DOES NOT COME UP! It doesn't even come up if you search Metal Masters. If you put in "Suquehanna Bank Center" you do see that show listed.

Also the tickest I have for that show states 7pm showtime, Live Nation states 5:30PM

Life long priest fan, Mike D.

If any Kiwis want to fly over to see the Melbourne show they can stay at my house.

If you fly Jetstar to Avalon I'll even pick you up and drop you off.

I just feel very baaaaaaad for you!

Do you honestly believe so? With the band members slowly but surely growing older I am not confident that they will be back again, especially if they are unable to stop over in Auckland while on the way to Australia.

Please, I think us New Zealanders deserve a proper explanation. What is stopping the band from stopping over in Auckland when they're on their way from Las Vegas to Australia? Sorry, but it just doesn't make any sense to me. If it was cancelled due to Glenn's health then I have no problem with it as Glenn's health is obviously far more important than a concert but it seems that our concert is the only one to be cancelled (other than the two previous concerts that were cancelled in July).

Hi there,
I have been a huge fan of Judas Priest for a number of years now and never in a million years did I think they’d come to New Zealand (or even Australia).  So when the NZ concert was announced a while back I was stoked and got my tickets as soon as they went on sale so I could get good seats (in the 3rd row at the front). It was not really a huge surprise to me to find out today that the NZ show has been cancelled as I think that deep down I was expecting that it would be as it was really too good to be true.  I am currently looking into getting over to one of the Australia shows. However, as the tickets have been on sale for some time already I am now going to miss out on getting a good seat. This is VERY disappointing! I feel that the promoters should have looked into any freight/logistics issues BEFORE they advertised a NZ show. If the NZ show had never been announced then I would have been able to purchase tickets/flights to one of the Aussie shows as soon as they went on sale. Now I am left in the lurch and I am gutted that a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity has been taken away from me.  I think that the least the Promoters/Band could do is to help the NZ fans by offering up some of the promo seats they have reserved at the Aussie shows for NZ fans to purchase.  I hope that this email will be given some consideration as I’m sure that you must be aware what a big deal this is to the fans. Thank-you for your time.
Regards
Jo

Hi fellas ! just sending you this message from Devon a little town outside Edmonton Alberta Canada.I saw you guys last night at the Ozzy Osbourne Monsters of Rock show in Calgary. It was a dream come true! Well mainly because I'm originally from  Cape Breton Nova Scotia and unfortunately down there we don't really get the opportunity to see a big act Like Judas Priest. I was blown away by your set and got as close to the stage as I could and sang along to the music. I've been a big fan since I was a little kid.It was a great experience to finally see you live for the first time and was well worth my hard earned money.Regretably when tickets went on Sale I didn't find out till the last minute you were playing Edmonton because I understand you like the other bands at Ozzy's gig were only alotted so much time on stage would love to see you at the Edmonton show do all your stuff but unfortunately I couldn't afford to get tickets after this Show I was at. Anyhow thanks for giving me a great memory and experience and I hope you'll roll through Alberta again soon..Thank you..Sincerely,Palmer Griffiths.

I'm a soldier in Iraq and it took me a while to get the new album, but now that i have it I can't stop listening to it.
I have to say that Nostradamus is a master piece, JP at its creative best. I thank you for the years of dedication and hard work, and for not selling out. You have stayed true to the Fans, the music  and yourselves. It would have been easy to pull a Metallica on us all, it is a testament to your charecter and dedication.

Thank you

I know that you may not see my post because I know you're really busy people and you probaly don't have the time to look at this but I can't wait to see you guys in Calgary on July 26th. I've listened to your music since I was a little Kid and Glenn and KK are two of my biggest influences who inspired me to pick up the guitar.Anyhow it's a dream come true ! I never thought I'd see the day that I'd be going to one of your concerts . Anyhow all the best and have a safe journey on your tour..Cheers! ..Sincerely,Palmer Griffiths.

[Brent Robinson] Wednesday, July 16, 2008 9:05:09 PM
Regardless if the "band" really reads this or not, I just wanted to say "Thank You" for FINALLY adding "Dissident Aggresor" to the set list (You haven't played Montreal yet - and there is always the chance that you'll drop it by then, but....). I was on the West coast for the last tour in Auburn , WA when you played "Exciter" - but when I got to Montreal, it was dropped. I have been waiting 26 YEARS to hear this track live...I await to be sedated. Good luck with the tour - regardless if you drop it or not - you managed to shake this list up to a VERY interesting degree!!! (Between The Hammer & The Anvil??? - never would have dared guessed)...

Keeping The Faith - and Rocking Forever!

My Dearest Metal Gods,

Since Nostradamus came out, on average, I listen to it 2-3 times per day. I fall alseep with Priest tunes running through my head and I wake up with Priest tunes in my head. This morning I had a very nice wake up to Conquest. I can't seem to get enough time to listen to Nostradamus.
It's A Pure Masterpeice!
I Love It!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Less then 3 weeks until you wonderful men get to make my dream come true. See you in Edmonton! I promise not to bite...Hard.
My best wishes to Glenn. I hope your going to be alright. Get well soon.

  Love Tina
[Screamin' Demon] Sunday, July 06, 2008 5:32:23 AM
Please come to Australia for the Nostradamus tour. Seeing you're doing a sorta mini world tour now, which could end in late October if you go to South America too, it would make sense that on the Nostradamus tour you do the same arrangements where you tour rather than touring USA & Canada 3 times in 2 years
[never_surrender] Saturday, July 05, 2008 7:27:01 PM
Hi Rob, Glenn, KK, Ian, and Scott. I would like to let you know that I was able to overcome many tough times in life and am now reasonably successful because of the power and the glory of your music. With Nostradamus, you have created a true masterpiece and I keep listening to only this album again and again. Hope Glenn gets well soon and get back to his old glorious self to rip Albuquerque, NM and I will be there to witness it! Keep on 'Delivering the Goods' boys so that my grandchildren ( I am 29 as I write) could also have something to hold on to when things don't seem to be going their way.
[Drums01] Saturday, July 05, 2008 2:33:30 PM
Hey guys! Hope all is going well. Glenn hope your getting better!!!! See you August 27th in Albuquerque, NM USA!!! P.S. Scott Travis is the god of drums!!!!!!! ROCK ON
[Danielle] Friday, July 04, 2008 3:23:03 PM
Well, just a quick note to say I have a new favorite Priest album now; Nostradamus is amazing! I love so many songs on it. Being a fan of dark classical music, like Wagner, some Beethoven, etc, I really loved the operatic feel to the album. It is excellent. Great job guys! This was what I have been waiting for from Priest!
I am heading to your show in Vegas on September 1st. I will be in the box seat, (3-2) and it will be my first time finally seeing the mighty Judas Priest! I am sure it will blow my mind!

Hello!

I just picked up Nostradamus and.. WOW! I am totally LOVING it! This is a bold departure from your usual sound and really captures all of your unique talents both vocally and instrumentally.

Rob.. the voice! What more can I say. You are truly talented in EVERYTHING you do! I so admire you!

Thank you for writing "Lost Love". It really touched me as I am going through a terrible time right now with my beloved husband who is battling a grade 4 brain tumor.

I can't wait to see you all in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on July 27th at the Shaw Conference Centre! I have been such a huge fan of yours for so many, MANY years and cannot wait to see you again!

Love,
Eva

I saw the fantastic Judas Priest show in Dsseldorf last monday: really a masterpiece! hope there are plans to performance the whole album "nostradamus" live on stage some day! I guess it would be great stuff to be performed at a location like the Royal Albert Hall..."Nostradamus" definitly is a milestone of Heavy Metal and what it ist standing for! Rob- you are a great singer and performer: I had gooseskin in my mind, when I saw you acting in the role of Nostradamus, in this siver coat of a monc...keep the faith: this concert gave me back so much power and I know it`s always good to be yerself- no matter what the people say! artists (as you may remind: I`m a paintress!), are always some kind of exhiled...that`s why I love this song so much...thank you all for this wonderful CD!, Love, Andrea

Just a brilliant record, very atmospheric.  Also so happy to see your coming to Adelaide in september.   My first live Priest concert, and damm i cant hardly wait.
[Great White] Wednesday, June 25, 2008 4:03:25 PM
Years back members of the band used to "visit" record shops and radio stations for "mini" interviews and autograph sessions.  Now the only way that you can even get close to the band is by paying $350+ to get a signature and picture.  No offense, but after all the bills are paid, school fees, gas bills, yadda, yadda, yadda, its really hard to fork over that amount of money.  Why are bands like Priest, who I'm sure have enough money from royalties, etc.,  no longer offering fans the opportunity to get close to them like they used to?

One enormous thank you for adding Oklahoma City to your tour, to Jayne Andrews, Bill Curbishley and Judas Priest.
Nostradamus is a great great concept album. I had lost faith anything would actually come out and come out well done. In fact, "the concept" went far beyond my low expectations and it's a rare treat for me.
I should have slapped myself for having listened to the shit leaked on the web and bitched about the album cover.
I've bought two Nostradamus.
I bow to your wisdom ;)

Gentlemen...

...if there was ever a time I may have promised to stop breaking your collective chops about finding a way to break your historic performance at the  US FESTIVAL back in 1983  free from its vault and put it onto a DVD resplendent with a few extras....then umm.....well...I lied!!!

We know this footage exists in its entirety...and it simply must be shared...please consider.    I thank you in advance...
[guitarzan] Saturday, June 21, 2008 12:27:17 AM
This i my third day with the new CD. The more i listen the more i fall in love with it. You guys made that long wait worth it. what a piece of work. it is nice to hear Rob get to do some lighter shades like the old days.
I have been a fan since the start. in fact i cut my guitar teeth on British Steel. I am damn impressed with all the guitar, bass and drum work that went into this.  As well as the guts it took to add the other elements that  are not normally heard in Metal.
It is an amazing accomplishment. the music is served perfectly yet it still kicks ass in a big way. You guys have your signature and it has been great to have a band that always produced album after album that i could buy and never be disappointed with.
sure you have experimented occasionally ,yet it has always been good music. i am and always will be a fan. peace and thanks for the killer CD.
PS
how about adding some Priest picks and guitar goodies to your mechandise for us guitar players?

A message for anyone who has personal contact with band or management:

Why has not the programme "Metal Works" been released on DVD?

And another suggestion, why not do as Iron Maiden did, and release some historical concerts in their entirety on dvd with it????
Granted, Priest have released the Memphis DVD, as well as the Dallas 1985 show from the Turbo tour.

What about the Gods Of Metal performance from December of 1983 in Dortmund Germany?

That one puts Memphis and Dallas to shame! The only drag at present is that there is only about 45 minutes of video available in bootleg world, and the version of Victim Of Changes is terrifying to say the least!

There are other concerts that have been filmed professionally and never released in their entirety I am sure.

If nothing else, get the entire concert from Dortmund, Germany 1983 and get it out. Iron Maiden has already beat you to the punch....several years ago they included their entire set from that same Festival with their DVD The Early Years Part 1.

Keep rocking!

Hello, Band:

Now, i'm hearing your new album: "Nostradamus". I give the Super Deluxe Box Set, from internet and it arrive today. Still i'm not sure if this creation of Metal Melody from The Metal Gods, is of this world! I think that it's an extra terrestrial record. I'm hearing the Metal Gods Voices, from another Galaxy or Time. You're incredible, really guys, i'm still not in me after your new album is going on my soul, at heart directly. Sincerelly, very very thanks for you persistence and music works. You're the Best Metal Band of Everytimes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU, BAND!

Guys I was so excited when i saw the connecticut tour date. I was finally gonna be able to go see Priest, my favorite band... but i just looked at the ticket prices and there way to expensive. I'm saving for collage and will probably have no real life after that. So i was going to go but 85 dollars a ticket is way to much for me, please i beg of you guys, please lower your ticket prices. From your loyal fan, Cody P., can't wait to buy the new album tommorow!

I drove from Spangdahlem Air Base in Germany to Luxembourg to see your concert on 11 June (Wednesday), and you guys didn't disappoint....YOU ROCKED!  I've listened to you guys since 1976 (I was 9), and I'll continue to do so...even though my musical tastes have somewhat changed as I get older.  Still, Priest is IT, and I can't wait until tomorrow so I can get your new CD! :)

Keep up the good work, guys!  I hope everyone will enjoy your concert during this tour, as I did Wednesday night.

"Hello Luxembourg!  It's Wednesday night, and the Priest is back!"

I'm looking forward to seeing you guys in Toronto and Sydney this year. I wish though that you would play at least another song off your new album, it's too much a masterpiece to play just Prophecy and Death. Throwing in Nostradamus at least, would be kickass.

Can't wait till July 26th in Calgary,  it'll be the first concert they've allowed at McMahon Stadium in about 15 years.  It's basically right in the middle of a residential area so we need to be prepared for some left wing whining.  Hopefully those attending the show will exhibit respect in terms of actions, litter, etc etc

Hey guys,

I met you guys at the Hot Topic signing and heard an advance "leak" of Nostradamus on VH1.com's website yesterday.  I have to say the CD is simply incredible!  I've listened to it twice and I enjoy the seamless flow of the album and the musical diversity from one song to the next.  The classical (?) guitar parts are fucking great and I definitely see where there is something for everyone.  I almost feel sorry for those few on the board who are bashing the new CD - it shows their lack of tolerance for new and different things and their immaturity.

Can't wait to see you guys in Philly, Aug. 6th!!!!

Hi,

Your show in Trondheim, Norway was absolutely incredible! The setlist was perfect, with almost all of my favourite songs, that I never thought I would get to experience. Your performance was also amazing, and it was the concert of a lifetime! I will never forget that night!

Is there going to be a live album or dvd from this tour? That would make the best live dvd ever made!
