When I saw RHCP there I was a bit confused cos I thought they had broken up, obviously I was wrong lol. I only flicked over to ESPN to see what was going on, every other time no sport was actually being played.

will do. its a 9 team league this year, just added the 9th, so after the expansion draft its hard for me to say who is solid or not
save this link in your favorites.

That should bring you to maybe the best info on the league.
Hamilton released their starter after signing Zach (although their starter would have become a free agent Feb 15 anyway)
you could have heard of henry buris. he spent a few seasons holding a clipboard in the NFL. I guess he's doing OK up there. He played (back-up QB) for Toronto Argonauts. He did get playing time and they did get a Grey Cup. Last year he got to start 7 games because of an injury to the starter and went 5-2 and set a CFL record for being first QB to win four straight road games. I'm not sure how good the Hamilton Tigercats are but they like him and signed him with a promise to compete for starter. I hope he does well. I can't guarantee my facts, our paper has been a little off before so if you ever hear about him please share. Thanks.

HA! No, I hadn't heard. If it makes you feel any better, Brazil isn't anywhere CLOSE to being ready to host! The storm inside the airport IN Rio (with no air meaning 120F temps) was just but one example. As i told someone at work today, I am glad to be here during the Copa. They have missed most of their deadlines, their insfrastructure for moving people around the country is a mess and there are massive manifestations in the streets from the impoverished who are being forced to erect 80,000 people stadiums in towns of 30,000.
A zoo, to say the least. I am glad to have made my small comtribution by buying an official FIFA ball.

By some stroke of good luck, one local channel showed some of the Rugby World Cup matches a couple of years ago. It ain't easy to forget such an unusual (and awesome) pre-game ritual. Sadly, I don't think rugby will catch on here. 'Murican football still rules the weekend morning/afternoon TV timeslots. The same channel that showed those rugby matches is currently showing some Premier League matches, so not all is lost.

No they don't do the haka which is good in a way as it can be overdone a bit. I'm actually a little surprised you know who the All Blacks are lol! They are the most recognisable rugby team in the world, but rugby isn't big in the USA. Mind you the NZ Maori All Blacks (Maori are our indigenous people) played the USA on the weekend and it was an excellent game, the Eagles played very well!
The good thing about NZ being in this position is they have nothing to lose, so whatever happens happens lol. I have heard Mexico have been dreadful lately, but all you can go by is the one game. All that matters is what happens on the day. It's funny, Mexican fans are trolling the All Whites (the name of our soccer team, cos they wear a white uniform) facebook page, but because most of them are posting in Spanish (rather than the rest posting in ok english, or google translate english lol) no one knows what they're on about lol.

Personally, I'm don't have much hope in Mexico winning this playoff. But then again, weirder things have happened at the Azteca. Seriously, just how stinkin' lucky (or maybe unlucky) can they get with getting this far in their current condition?
Say, does the NZ soccer team do that whole pre-game Maori war dance/chant thing like the All Blacks do? That'd be cool to see. It would definitely scare the crap out of El Tri.

Beating mexico in the Azteca is a serious task. I can hope for NZ, but seriously, you might as well hope to find a winning loto ticket.

True, everyone wants an extra spot somewhere I guess lol! You haven't seen NZ play, we're not the best team. Very physical (not in a bad way) but that gets exploited by the likes of the South American teams (and Italy etc) by them falling all over the place to get fouls.

I saw the last 5 games. the camera must have been tired of the wegie bit, only saw that once. even recieving serve the nose, ear, nose, other ear, smooth hair over ears thing is old. How could you forget? It is in my tag! LOL!
Plus, look at the board below. It IS Cabrera. That was inning 12 of the game I attended. He gets a base hit, hobbles to first where he is replaced, sacrifice bunt moves the runner to second and a hit wins the game!
Yes, I would like to see a repeat of Cabrera's triple too. Funny as I was wearing my Ordoñez shirt to the game. Had to buy a new one. Tough decision but I went with the safe bet: Prince Fielder!

HAAAA!!! I took ONE foreign friend to a baseball game here a long time back. They didn't understand a damn thing and the only thing they were waiting for was for the marching band to take the field during halftime. Ummmmm....slight confusion with American football as there are four quarters and a "halftime" that splits the two. Baseball? Nope. We get a 7-th inning stretch (typical play is 9) so that people can stand up and not have blood clots run to their brains / hearts / vital organs! LOL!!! Even funnier? It was a tie-game after the normal 9 "innings" so it went to extra time / innings. As a fan, I loved it!! As a foreigner who didn't understand the basics of the game despite all attempts of me and my friends trying to explain, it was their first and last game.
I have never seen a live cricket game but we get that all the time in movies and on tv. I can't claim to know all the rules but, thanks primarily to the idiot box, I can appreciate a well-thrown googly!

I was trying to move from tenis to F1. not fucking nascar, a real race. [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by guidogodoy from Saturday, June 08, 2013 11:44:16 PM) | | guidogodoy wrote: | | Agreed. Serena grunts.
However, I don't see how shrieking or grunting has anything to do with a car race. Save, perhaps, if you are hinting that the men's final is going to duller than "turn to the left, turn to the left, turn to the left." Ferrer vs. Nadal? Yeah, I could see your point there.
