It could be worse though! One summer when I was about 15 I went to the beach and everywhere I went they play "Ring My Bell" by some stupid pop singer/one hit wonder! I thought I would be driven insane by that song! He name was something champagne. Shudder just thinking of it! Yes Head Banger I see your point,but bands like Poison must not be listed as "heavy metal". As Darth said below....he thinks that it's pop metal...but still "metal"......but its not ANY KIND of metal at all!
None of us here can change what the commercial media wants to categorize these geres but every time I see somebody post and list a band as "metal"...I'm going to have my say on it because "I can".....and I will. Darth,...these bands Poison and Cinerella..ect..are in no way shape or form "metal"..its not "popmetal".....its not hair bandmetal..its not glam metal .....it is not "METAL" at all. Metal must be left out of these titles.

Sorry Cobras...I could'nt let this one slide here....I know your intentions were positive and I know you were just trying to get the point across to those who want to post a classic rock album in this thread..ect..ect..ect..but I had to clear up the aesthetics and genre of Whitesnake in the era of 1987.

With that being said....still Whitesnake are nowhere near being "hard rock" at all. Just because a band pumps up volume with a few riffs..ect..does'nt mean they are "hard" ....Whitesnake are "soft".Just an observation.

Hard rock is like some of the Scorpions..ect...these are hard rock bands,Whitesnake is no where near "hard rock"....and the era of the album you posted ..they were "glam" at the fullest dude,bunch of pretty boys with hair spray with the most commercial sound there was at that time.
