probably a problem with the accelorator cable. intermitent problems are the hardest to fix, but there is probably a simple way. not sure how the Fiat stuff is put together, and dont know much about Diesel, but if it were a gas car I think its probably a dirty linkage, or damage. unless you have a floor mat causing the pedal to hang up. HB, it is a fiat palio (diesel 1.7l) I love it.. It is only 3 years old and it has only started to do this in the last few months.
