No worries Hellrider, no offense taken. Maybe the new HALFORD will take the edge off for you a little? I have a feeling that he is most definitely leaning toward the hardcore metal that we love so much from him. Hopefully he will influence Priest as well and they will blend the classic Priest with the hardcore side and give us something incredible. But I'm thinking we won't have a new album by Priest for another 2 years...... this tour they are doing next year most likely is to support Nostradamus. But maybe they can write on the road or already have some stuff done that we don't know about? Let's hope!!!

Hellrider you need an intervention! HA! Its all good my friend,we all have our opinions, but I still think your smoking crack! lol!

Uhhhhhh.....what? AOR is like the BLACK ALBUM?!
No disrespect, of course, but I think that statement is way off base. Add me as another who falls quite solidly into the "AOR is awesome (save Lochness)" camp. LOL!

well if you look around i think you will find that alot of people share my opinion on the album.no offence of coarse but in my opinion the majority of it sounds like metallica black album.i also find the album has to much to variety

I'm so glad that I happened to love the Angel Of Retribution (except for the last track "Lochness") album,to me the album just beats Defenders Of The Faith and lands in at #5 in quality studio albums, but thats just my opinion,I'm just glad that I like it and as usual it clicked with the first listen, albums never "grow" on me like fungus, either I like it or I don't. It would suck if it didn't click with me like the Nostradamus album doesn't,I envy those fans of the Nostradamus album as I wish I liked it,but I just don't.
I guess you and others view me the same way with Retribution......yeah that album is classic Judas Priest heavy metal, even "Worth Fighting For"....classic Judas Priest thats not thier heaviest, but niether is "Solor Angels" or neither is "A Touch Of Evil" or "One Shot At Glory". We'll just have to wait and see what the band has for all of us,I'm sure I won't be disappointed, but I know others will be.

I quite like the Black Album too Budred, LOL! But yeah, everything since then has been a major pile of you know what from Metallica. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by Budred from Friday, September 24, 2010 4:17:35 AM)

but it has some good music on it. As for Priest, other than "Demolition" they
haven't done much to excite me since Painkiller. I (hate) "Nostradamus" and
I think "Retribution" is (good) at best. Only an opinion, only matters to me. I'm
not trying to sway anyone in any direction. It sounds like the new Halford may be
what I'm looking for in Priest.

I agree if they do a tour in 2011 for Nostradamus we won't get a new album for at least another 2 years probably a little longer, that would drag pretty much into January 2013? Wow.

I will admit it was the first step towards the bottom for them. I think they could have recovered
from that point because the album wasn't that bad. The problem was following it up with that "Load"
of shit they laid on us. Slight recovery with "Reload" and then their demise with "ST. Anger".
Man do I miss "And Justice For All"!

the black album is far worse than nost. I agree with that. if it were a one time departure, like say POE then I think it would be ok. but it lead them to the POP side [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by Budred from Friday, September 24, 2010 4:17:35 AM)
