@ J.D. after 6 years , and Glenn,Ian and Rob hurtling towards 70 ,i am Happy that we get anything at all, let alone a new album with  18 new tunes !!!of which the 3 i have heard so far are pretty darn good, some of my favourite tunes are pre- painkiller, love the old sound of priest, in fact the first time i heard Painkiller , i was like WTF is this !!!!! but it grew on me , for the longest  time my favourite song off that album was between the hammer and the anvil!.! but now i gotta hear it live when they play! this pre-conceived notion people had(have) about this new album is causing the bad reviews ,that it has to be this style or that style instead of just letting it "BE" and judge it on the merits of a stand alone project and not compare it to others , this band is radical in its thought and writing process and i enjoy being along for the ride with them!!!! (not always great, but always unmistakably priest) be open to what will probably (fingers crossed not!!) be the bands swan song and hope for a major city tour so we can see the mighty priest one last time !!! i choose to be open to this album, and i am sure it wont all be likable for me , but it is new and it is Priest so enjoy, and keep an open mind i say to all the detractors out there !!!

if i never heard metal gods again i would be a happy man IMO !!!! , by the complaints on facebook, i think there are a lot of people out there that wanted a harder heavier album and wanted screaming fast guitars and pounding drums .............AND OH YEAH WE HAVE ONLY HEARD 2 SONGS OUT OF 18!!!!!! , there is a quote out there by one of the rock sites that have actually  heard the album in its entirety and they are using words like FUCKING EPIC,JUDAS PRIEST RETURNS TO FORM ETC.  some times we have to hear the other parts to make the whole , would electric eye be as good without the helion intro? the sentinel without the guitar intro, love bites? etc.!
