That is awesome!
We still have to find a place to have the ceremony.. ..I love some different non metal music that would fit in well like van morrison, the doors, billie holiday, patsy cline....but that list is very short so the people are screwed and will be forced to listen to atleast the lighter side of my metal collection.
That is really good idea about the cards.. I may have to steal that from you! LOL! that will be interesting........
It may backfire on me though and some drunk women would still request that dame chicken dance...
Hhah.. I really hate that dance.
ME AND MY WIFE AGREED IF WE ARE PAYING ALL THIS MONEY FOR A WEDDING, WE ARE GOING TO THROW OUR PARTY, NOT THE SAME TRADITIONAL PARTY EVERYONE ELSE HAS. ALL THE GUYS IN THE BRIDAL PARTY WALKED IN, IN DIFFERENT PROFESSIONAL TEAMS BASEBALL HATS WITH NELLIE FOX LOUISVILLE SLUGGER BATS ON THEIR SHOULDERS. THE ARCH WAS MADE OF THE BATS AND THE GIRLS FLOWERS.
WE ASKED THE GUESTS TO PUT A SONG OR BAND THEY WANTED TO HEAR AT THE WEDDING ON THEIR RESPONCE CARD. WE THEN GAVE THE LIST TO THE DJ.
LOTS OF METAL, SOME DEVO, TODD RUNDGREN , PATTI SMITH, TED NUGENT. WE DID PLAY SOME COUNTRY MUSIC ( WHICH I DO LIKE) DURING DINNER.
NOT THAT THIS IS FOR EVERYONE, BUT WE ENJOYED IT.

The two hour fight started and I wanted 6 priest songs..My argument was it my freaking wedding and everyone there knows I"m a metalhead. If they dont like it they can get out, it suppose to be about the couple, right?
I will never get overkill pr anything even close to being that heavy. ;(... I did win on the scorpions, and sleeping in the fire by wasp..(that will piss off the blue hairs)..
I think the Dj now hates me as I told him there will no chicken dance shit and I will provide all music played with burned disc's that guy get to keep.. hopfully all goes well. crossin my fingers.

Well, your right...they may be classified as "power metal"..but they play so,so close to heavy metal I think we can get away with calling them heavy metal.
Running Wild are the same way...they are considered "Power Metal" but they play so close to Judas Priest,Saxon and Iron Maiden's style and could still
be considered "heavy metal"....while a band like say "Gamma Ray" plays Power metal and really dosn't sound "heavy metal" at all.
And I agree with Tim Owens being better in another band than Priest.
ok...thanks for clarifying it...it's just that I always considered it more like a power metal band than a heavy one...
also that's the only way I would like Tim Owens on the vocals...never trying to replace the METAL GOD! (Quoting Message by J.D. DIAMOND from Tuesday, July 21, 2009 3:39:59 PM)
