HA!!!!!!!! Well said! I think I should just avoid going back in that Thread as well. I have looked in and seen further comments that completely miss my point, as usual. I am not sure the majority of the people that come here speak English. At least not with any understanding.
I have NO problem with people stating their opinions! I never said they should not! My complaint is that we are in a state of Thread OVERLOAD! Yet another moron posted in that Thread declaring his "right" to an opinion. YE GODS!!! That is FINE!!! Opine away! Just do it in a friggin Thread we already have!!!!!!!!!!
I think I will go listen to my Brittney Spears Cd.....HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DF there are alot of discussions about Nos. but at least its not about some worthless thing like the crap you see about celebs everday when you sign on to a home site to just go to a decent place to view things you actuallly want to hear about instead of MS. Whoops, I did it again, Spears.
BTW, since I refuse to go into the Priest downfall page ever again, since I was tainted by the shear disgust of it, would someone go in there and tell them they need to rename the page the "Fans of Judas (the betrayer) and not any thing mentioning Priest." LOL

I am sick of "Nostradamus Threads"!!! That's right! I said it! For CRYIN' OUT LOUD, people!! Just how many of these mindless Threads do we need??? I get that not everyone likes the new album. Great! Super! Go buy the latest from Disturbed or something! Is it really necessary to create TEN Threads about this?????
I have no control over the stupidity of people that come to this site. Wouldst that I did. It is bad enough to have two or three of these, but it has become absolutely ridiculous. Why is it that an allegedly rational, sane human being has such difficulty going to a Thread that has already addressed this subject and making a post?? Do we really need all of this garbage?
I do not begrudge anyone their opinion. It is perfectly alright by me if you don't like Nostradamus. But the downfall of Judas Priest????? WHAT?!??!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!!?!!! Perhaps it is simply a matter of difficulty with the English language? I cannot say but clearly we do NOT need multiple Threads about this! STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I beseech you!!!

Worse today. We woke up with power, but it went out again around 1 pm. Saw the paper this morning and it topped out at 111 yesterday. Was supposed to be 112 today. My youngest got so pissed off yesterday that he made signs and protested the DWP workers to restore the power. He ended up on the 8 o'clock news ! I honestly have no idea where he gets it from. Today I was reminded of an old gripe that continues to "Piss me Off". I realize I have grumbled about the following subject before, but I do believe it bears repeating, simply because it will never end!
You all know how people react when someone dies. Most often, you hear someone say, "I get the feeling he is up there, smiling down on us. And I think he is pleased" I think I heard this old line again on the news recently. Some athlete died suddenly and one of his pals made this most annoying reference.
First of all, you all know that I find it extremely doubtful that there is any "up there" from which to smile. It is rather poetic I suppose and it is certainly comforting but it probably does not exist. Sorry , gang. Besides, if a person actually did somehow "survive" death in some kind of non-physical form, clearly he would be far too busy with other things to be "smiling down" on people.
And please tell me why it is that we never hear someone say, "smiling UP at us.."?? I suppose it just does not occur to these folks that a loved one might end up in "hell". And in that case, it is highly unlikely that they would be "smiling". More than likely, he would be screaming. "I get the feeling he is down there now, screaming up at us. And I think he is in pain." It is amazing how people just refuse to be realistic.

Edited at: Friday, June 20, 2008 12:38:48 PM |

You all know how people react when someone dies. Most often, you hear someone say, "I get the feeling he is up there, smiling down on us. And I think he is pleased" I think I heard this old line again on the news recently. Some athlete died suddenly and one of his pals made this most annoying reference.
