Where have you been? Where are you going? Where would you like to go?

Your pictures are outstanding. I would love to visit there. A very cultural and historical place to see.
I quit drinking but I would gladly have a beer in that cafe. That place is too cool.

There are more pics to come, but for now here's a pic of me standing in front of the Memorial Church (Gedächtniskirche) in Berlin, Germany.

HOLY CRAP!! I've got to get there now! Now that's my kind of cafe. HELL YEAH! He even has a huge JP cross with guitars on it. I'm so glad that someone loves this band as much as we all do here and dedicated a cafe to them!

Here's how the cafe looks at night.

...and here's a pic with flash so you can all see the giant JP cross adorning one corner of the bar. Is it cool or what?!?

Thanks, HRMG!! It's good to be back home.

The cafe itself was great! It's small and intimate. There were posters, flags, etc. posted on the walls. There were also backstage pass lanyards, LPs, guitars signed by JP members...in a nutshell, it's one large collection of JP gear. Videos (music or concert videos) are displayed on a screen behind the bar . If you go to Berlin, you gotta go visit. The OWNER looks like Rob Halford!! Great place to be.

PS: Sorry for the lack of flash in these ones.

Nevermind, gents. I found the statue of Rob Halford. It was INSIDE the café. His main job is to greet the visitors.

Well, Id say that she should bring the statue, but since someone already nicked it... Well, maybe theres an Iron Maiden bar there, so she can steal Dickinsons.

Oh, well next time I'm in Hannover and I'm in the mood for a tour of all the low-end, cheap, sleazy back alley bars and sex shops I'll be sure to look him up.

Berlin looks great. That rock cafe will be awesome. I used to go to bars like that in Europe all the time when I was there, Good times. Keep posting the pics.   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Vaillant 3.0 from Friday, August 13, 2010 11:33:12 AM)

Thanks, everyone! Glad you liked the photos. And yes, Guido and Metalman, Dissident Aggressor was the correct answer.

JJ. Phantom A6 lives in Hannover, which is on the other side of Germany...so no, I haven't got to see him. But if I do, I'll tell him that you said hi.

One more pic. I went to this cafe earlier today. It was closed, but I'm hoping to go there eventually, hopefully before I have to leave. Only big disappointment is that the big statue of Rob that I've seen on the cafe's website isn't there.

Such a wonderful comment, Ron!! "See the world through the eyes of a friend"... I LOVE that!! How poignant. I do just that when I see the pics posted by some of our wonderful members!! I really enjoy seeing places I will likely never visit in my lifetime! So kind of you all to share with us! And so, here is the last sight I recall before the Princess and I left San Diego a couple weeks ago. Don't know what it is about that city but we just love it.
