Surprisingly enough, no! It's actually been mild as far as the wind goes. Lake Michigan does a lot to protect us where I live...but then there are those days when you can't even use an umbrella because the wind is so strong!! That's when you get the dreaded wind burn!!

What a cool meteor shower!! Really spectacular!! Even though the city had some moderate light pollution, I was able to spot a big meteor every ten minutes from the same dark spot in the park where I made my watch yesterday (the spot with the least light). Saw a really great meteor shower many years ago. Me and a friend laid back on the hood of my 84 Dodge Colt and used the windsheild as a recliner accent, and watched meteors from the same shower you speak of until 5:00 am. I had to be at work at 7:00 am and was sound asleep in a chair by 8:30 am! Good thing you didn't get fired for things like that back then! LOL

So far, no deal. Pushing 1am here and Calvin and I have been outside looking up for 1/2 hour or so before he decided he'd had enough.
Fairly clear skies and I even walked to the end of my drive as there are too many trees on my property. Odd fog but no meteors. I'll have another go in a bit.
