Hi folks!
Quick note to let you all know how much fun we had meeting everyone. Soy, Tim, Amanda & Mark were a blast to party with and we hope to meet up again. It was our distinct pleasure to have you all aboard our "rock 'n roll bus"!
Sorry we left you hanging at the end, and that is our one regret - to not have spent more time with you afterwards! You'll just have to make it out to the coast sometime -- at least that's where I think we're 'landing' this thing since the house sold and we're headed home to pack up and be gypsies for a while! (We're pretty good at that.)
You have to know we'll be in touch, whether you like it or not! lol...
Niagara Falls were a blast, but I think the "altitude" of the Tapas Bar overlooking the falls got to us though...
Us country-bumpkins have reached our 'city-limits' -- figuring we're safer with the bears of NW Ontario at this point... (After the concert, we had some grumpy-gang-guy in a Hummer come racing over to us and demand we give him a t-shirt and leave "his" parking-lot! Since we were the only ones there (besides a flock of seagulls), we told him where to go and how to get there, and then the guys promptly dug the baseball bat out of storage -- to where it has thankfully been returned -- unused. There were only a couple hours of sleep to be had, but it was still a bit restless.) Still have over 5,000km's driving to get home, and the way we travel, that'll take weeks!!
Anyway, headed to see Sudbury's giant nickel today -- and some geocaching along the way.
To all others watching this thread, the concert was awesome -- as usual, and 'of course'. The guys never disappoint. As I've always said, JP Fans are the best in the world, and we're proud and honoured to be part of this family. Party's on the West Coast next time!! Love to all! We're off...
And ... a BIG "HAPPY BIRTHDAY' to AMANDA tomorrow!!! (Don't know if I can get back on here w/ coverage around Lake Superior, so don't want to be late wishing you all the best, my dear! Iam happy you enjoyed the show..... it sounds like everyone had a wonderful time... Its almost as exciting meeting up with the Fans from this site as it is seeing the band.. I may have to do a Toronto show next time around.. I would love to meet all of you also,,, I so enjoyed meeting up with many fans at the MN show.. It was a joy, to enjoy the great music with everyone... Iam debating another show to go to right now.. Not really sure yet.. My funds are low and I have so much company coming these next few weeks,, I have the time, but not alot of money to travel,, Due to the family illness I endured over the winter spring.. and having to travel for that....
But I will def try to make a Toronto show.. I missed WW and her husband last year due to the closure of the highways.. I would love to Rock out with her also,,

Just got home right now....from Toronto that is. hahahaha
Soy, you said it all in a nutshell. Meetinig everyone was phenomenal. I had a fantastic time the whole day. Thanks again to everyone for their hospitality.
A major shout out to Whiskey Woman and Colley, Thanks for EVERYTHING - especially upgrading mine and Tims tickets. My original ticket wasn't that far away from the upgrade, but it was great to rawk out the show with Tim.
I got home safe - after waiting til 1am to get my jacket out of the RV. But no problems.......watched Priest pull out in 5 tour busses and watched 6 equipment big rigs try to maneuver through the parking lot. Quite a spectical to behold.
Yes, we have to all meet up again at the next gig. I had such a great time.
WW and Colley, have a safe trip home and hopefully soon, I can catch a Priest show out your way.
Again everyone, thanks for the great memories.
Oh yeah, ya gotta know the band loves Toronto when they perform the whole encore with Rob draping the Canadian flag on his bike. Whoooo hooooo.

It's an excellent place to throw back a few brews and most definitely cheeper than consuming said beers at Ontario Place where it's guarantteed to cost twice as much. And besides, we can all make faces at Kim Mitchell who works at Q107 and the radio station broadcasts from the front of the Hard Rock. Kim Mitchell, I am certain, will even promo Priest on the radio if we ask him nicely. He's such a cool dude.
So what about that idea?

Spent the night in Ontario Place parking -- listened to Indy cars revving all night and going up and down the road. Still managed some sleep, so we're all good. (I think the seagulls were noisier!) Blocked off lots of roads down here in prep for Indy, I would presume, so glad we took the management's advice and got here a day early for parking. Woke up to peek out the window and saw one of JP's equipment trucks... yeah!
Looking forward to meeting all the Canadian folks.

As of right now, the CN Tower LUNCH has been ditched by most of us. We are gonna meet for a quick bite before the show and then load up on those beers. BTW Soy, thanx for clearing the situation up for me. I'm such a die hard partier and assumed I was invited. hahahahaha. Yup, this isn't the first time I've misunderstood.
But hey, I look forward to the day with all the Priest fans from here and more buddies that are showing up at the gig. It's gonna be a blast.
WW and Tasnam, (the out of towners) hahaha = we can certainly accomodate entertaining you in Toronto. Maybe we could all meet at a cool restaurant downtown, like maybe the Hard Rock Cafe on Yonge Street. It's an excellent place to throw back a few brews and most definitely cheeper than consuming said beers at Ontario Place where it's guarantteed to cost twice as much. And besides, we can all make faces at Kim Mitchell who works at Q107 and the radio station broadcasts from the front of the Hard Rock. Kim Mitchell, I am certain, will even promo Priest on the radio if we ask him nicely. He's such a cool dude.
So what about that idea?

I don't think Priest would go on earlier if Popevil doesn't play. Either 1 of 2 things will happen:
1) Priest and Whitesnake will play longer sets!
OR
2) They will just go on at their scheduled start times, which will give us more drinking/party time!!

Hi to all, from Whiskey Woman & 'the criminal' -- lol!
For those who don't know, our trip from BC to Milwaukee was thwarted by the Customs Border Patrol -- who had no problem letting my bad-ass husband into the States last year when we trekked down to Vegas & met up with the ladies of Sinful. This time was a bit different.
After much separate interrogation and searching of the RV, they finger-printed & photographed the afore-mentioned criminal b/c of something(s) he might have done 20 years ago. While they had him in there for the 2nd time, I finally saw the RV -- but it was pointing in the wrong direction! North? Hmmm... Yep, we got kicked out of the States.
So, we've been trying to make the best of missing those ladies of Sinful & Priest in Milwaukee -- which hasn't been too hard (cough, cough) b/c besides being rather HUGE ... Ontario and it's lakes are beautiful. Lots of weird bugs we haven't seen before, and don't care if we ever see again...but nice. Did I say the lakes are HUGE???!!! Damn.
To put it all in perspective, it takes 12 hours to drive over the Rockies from Vancouver to Calgary -- and we drove around Lake Superior for over two days. Crazy man!
Anyway, we're sitting in Hamilton trying to find a hotel that will fit our RV and take Peekaboo (the cat). Best we can do is a Fairmont suite -- for all the right kinds of money! (Darn, eh? LOL...wait 'til 'the criminal' wakes up from his nap to hear that!)
We're definitely "in" for lunch at the CN tower if someone wants to get back to us -- and you don't mind hanging out with some shady characters! We got 2nd row, centre tickets ... again, for all the right money, off eBay -- so we hope it all works out. Totally looking forward to meeting more Canadian JP fans and breakin' the law before the show. Apparently, that's what we do... lol.
