Man, anyone would laugh to see the setup I have going right now trying to digitize an old Halford / Detroit concert I have had on VHS for many years. Two computers routed hooked up to a DV camera to my VCR and output to an external HD while monitoring the progress on my TV. HAAAA!!! This has proven to be a bit of a challenge. Fourth try as I have already struck out with an ATI video-in graphics card and a Pinnacle DV 700 converter ("instant DVD my ass!") thanks to crappy software mixed with loaded drives.
What a flippin' mess of cables I am looking at while I type. I just hope I don't snap the tape before I get a good dub. A second run at Metal Works is next. |

Oops. Small error. "The Ripper" was a CD-R. To my knowledge, it was never released as a true "silver." I have seen it in LP, though.

Nice! I have a true boot of that (flac, not silver) and own the tourbook. The tourbooks are still available online.
Had I the energy, I'd give post some better pics of more true "silver" CDs that I own.

Pixie. Any titles to what you have? I worked for a radio station myself and have a few. Also own the equipment to digitize LPs in flac (lossless) digital format. PM if you need any technical help. Name what you have...I may already have a digitized copy that I'd be willing to share.

Priest interviews, tunes (oh yeah - and other artists too) ... the actual LPs radio stations used when they played vinyl ...

I do get what you are saying about MGE and the Q but bootlegs are, technically, not illegal unless explicitly prohibited by the band in question. Look at the Grateful Dead for a good example. They encouraged it and even reserved space in every concert for tapers. SELLING the recordings is where almost all draw the line.

Not true. Bootlegs have been around LONG before the Q and were freely traded here, there and via bit torrent. Ask Maple if you have any doubts. That you and others seemed to have paid for the Toronto show "breaks all the laws." Traders do not sell.

I do get what you are saying about MGE and the Q but bootlegs are, technically, not illegal unless explicitly prohibited by the band in question. Look at the Grateful Dead for a good example. They encouraged it and even reserved space in every concert for tapers. SELLING the recordings is where almost all draw the line.

No I dont mean that. Bootlegs are illegal in general. A lot of people on the Q are hardcore traders but its more an issue of Metal God Entertainment being there that we can no longer trade Priest and Halford bootlegs openly.
