Trouble
I always thought they were like a cross between Judas Priest and Black Sabbath. I was lucky
enough to meet those guys once. Iasked their singer (Eric Wagner) who they were most influenced
by and he told me "Judas Priest" and "Black Sabbath". You gotta love someone into those two. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by jimmyjames from Wednesday, May 30, 2012 3:37:58 AM)

Haha Limp Bizkit, I remember when they first came out on the radio here. My enduring memory of them is we were away with family friends at a bach (bach=small beachside house) and Nookie came on the music video channel, and my dad and his mate were sitting watching it going 'WTF is this?!' LMAO they had never seen something so ludicrous, at the time anyways.
Yeah, Why not though? I'm not a huge Limp Bizkit fan, and their lyrics are stupid, but they are heavy as fuck when they want to be and I like to keep the show diverse. You're actually the second person whose said it was good to hear them so I'm pretty happy about that. Cheers Bud.

Should I mention that I thought I was the only one here who would listen to them.
I think Wes Borland is one of the best guitarists out there. I saw them at Rock on the Range
two summers ago and loved them. Even though it will get me laughed at here()
I think they are one of the heaviest "live" bands and the new album isn't bad either.

Cheers Necro, agree with you there on Triptykon, they are definately on another level from all the other bands out there. Electric Wizard are probably the ultimate doomy, sludgy, stoner metal band around, cool band I reckon. FOTN I'd never heard of until recently when I read an interview with the main bloke so thought I'd give them a listen. From what I read their live shows are quite an event.....What did you think of them??
I will try and play that Mortiis song for you in the next couple of weeks.
Some good tunes there! Triptykon are the next level of 'heavy' & Electric Wizard can seriously damage ur mind...lol. Fields Of The Nephilim....omg..saw them live back in the day...i'd have followed that with Mortiis - Parasite God...just differing levels of what we call 'rock'.
