I sure hope they don't do a Nostradamus tour Jaydee I hope your right man. More power to fans of the album but I hope what your saying is true as it does seem like the window of opportunity has passed as it is almost 2 years since the album now.And I thought that British Steel was written,recorded,mixed and mastered in just under 2 months I don't think it was anything over 2 months(8 weeks). Judas Priest should go back to the studio and work on the next record,I know that if they put out an album late this year or early January hellrider will make headlines on national TV!!! lol! 

Fuckin A hellrider you fuckin rock man!!!! He is where I get my spirits from when I'm stoked about the next Judas Priest album,we are all...well most of us are all here because Judas Priest is our #1 favorite band no question and hellrider makes this place that much more fun to visit,I'm sure Rob himself has seen a post from hellrider and his kick ass spiked studded leather jacket defending our heavy metal faith,I'm sure even Rob is inspired by hellrider!!!!! We all raise our fists to the sky and hail the mighty HELLRIDER!!!!!!!!!

I don't think JP will do a full blown Nostradamus show. IMO they are way past the window of opportunity to promote that cd and I'll bet they choose to take the summer off.  JP has been notoriously slow at releasing new material. By contrast Iron Maiden just complete their new cd (minus studio mixing) in only 2 months.  I remember JP took only 2+ months to record British Steel and look at what a ledgendary record that became.

Infact even though I fully enjoyed Nostradamus(obviously) I would rather a new record then them going all crazy for the whole Theatre show they were talking about for said mention nostradamus. Not to mention they filmed no shows on the Ram It Down or Painkiller tour.

All the proshot stuff from the Painkiller tour was filmed by either another group, or the video footage that was being streamed to the big screens the people there could see at the time.

I reckon they are going to carry on until 2014. That'll be 40 years since the first album. Huge 40th Anniversary tour etc, opportunity to re-release everything again. That's if you don't count the 13 years Rob Halford was out of the band.

I'd nominate the Middletown '91 show for DVD if they released one. I think but am unsure, that the reason they don't release a DVD from that tour is that this was a very dark time for Rob. He felt very distant from the band and unappreciated. It seemed like a time he didn't want to be in it. Ironically, the very last show of the tour and he gets knocked off his bike by a riser. Anyways, I would love a DVD from that tour but I can understand why they may not release one.

I think it's insane not to have released a dvd or cd of the Painkiller tour. Also if you want the current dvd you have to buy another copy of British Steel the album. I guaranatee you many fans would already have purchased that cd at least twice in the past. And it's not giving the fans an amazing live package, it's selling the fans an amazing live package. They aren't remastering a remaster.

Its a special edition of British Steel.

British Steel remastered (current version available) + Live at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Florida DVD + Audio CD from the show.

They'd be completely insane not to release SOME sort of documentation of the British Steel tour, it was great!

It's not crap, its giving the fans an amazing live package to hold us over till the next release.

Well even if I strongly belive that the next new Judas Priest album will be a classic one,we may have to wait a very long time for a new record,I'm just guessing and grabbing at straws at this point,but with as many late 2009ish interviews I've read,the band were still even thinking about possibly doing a full blown tour of Nostradamus in its entirety.If this happens and becomes reality,then I think Judas Priest will not release another studio album untill mid-2012 around that time frame. 

If they chose to work on an album by this summer,then we should get an album mid-2011. I miss the eraly 80's when most bands were releasing recods ever year,at the most every 2 years.Now-a-days its every fucking 3 to 4 years and thats just ridiculously way too long man,I know that they tour and thats where they really get thier $cash but come on Priest...how much more $cash do you need?? I would like to see the band sacrifice thier money for thier fans and pump out a few more Judas Priest albums before they retire. 

Thats something that Motorhead and Saxon do consistantly is release albums every 2 years. There was only a year and a half time difference between Saxon's The Inner Sanctum and Into The Labyrinth albums,and Motorhead's Motorizer album was released in September 2008 and now they are finishing up in the studio with a new album as I type this,the album will be released in the summer so thats even a little less than 2 years apart..ect..I know that both Motorhead and Saxon do not tour as much and as long as Judas Priest or Iron Maiden but I wish that Priest would spend more time in the studio these last few years they have left.
 
I believe strongly that "the next Judas Priest album will be the band's last studio album of thier career". I don't think they will release 2 more studio albums,I think they only have one more record and thats why I'm sweating bullets waiting for it,its like the Super Bowl and the 5 best players on the team are retireing after the game win or lose...thats how this is.

Think about it...it will take till at least mid-late 2011 for the next album and the most maybe 2012...the next album after that would be something like 2016 and by then I don't think the band will be together anymore.I don't care about the Rolling Stones or 67 year old Ronnie James Dio...that doesn't mean Judas Priest will last that long,I'm not saying that I will be right,they may suprise me but I feel 95% sure that this next studio album will be the bands very last record guys.

Remastering the remaster and chucking in a dvd of themselves performing it 30 years on and an audio recording of the dvd. Sounds like a bit of a rip off designed to extort more money from their fans without actually offering anything new. A dvd of Priest on their 1980 BS tour would be more like it. Maybe an audio cd of their SFV tour and a dvd of the Painkiller tour. Why are they flooding the market with junk now when they are well past their peak. Nostradamus, the abysmal ATOE Live, Halfords christmas shit and now the bloody remaster of the remastered British Steel. What the fuck are they doing? Judas Priest celebrate the 30th anniversary of one of metal’s most well-loved albums in style.

Judas Priest have revealed that their will be a three-disc reissue of their classic ‘British Steel’ album released on May 10th.

As well as a remastered version of the album itself, there will also be a DVD and live album of the band playing ‘British Steel’ in its entirety (as well as a few other Priest classics) at The Seminole Hard Rock Arena in Florida on 17th August, 2009.
