they silly ones scared her away like Tania, Gloria and
Gianna and a few others which supported me

Here's a full 3D modelled version of the Screaming for Vengeance album cover that I put together in my spare time (I'm an artist working in the games industry). I was a big fan of airbrush art back in the 80s and loved Doug Johnson's work. So, Screaming's 30th Anniversary is coming up. What do you reckon to this being used for the cover if they re-release it? :)

It's good to know you all liked that little info on that pic, Scuba Dude, Ghetti & the wife of Akiva (TheLonelyIsland) look-alike.
Another little info that you may not know is that Glenn was wearing a black T-shirt w/ Chinese(Japanese) letters "wari-bashi" & "ichi-ban" for the VH1 classic accoustic gig whose vids are seen on YouTube.
Wari-bashi are disposable wooden chopsticks. Ichi-ban (The letters are hidden by the guitar) means number one! lol
Sincerely,
Ms. Green

Hello, Scuba dude.
This was a poster for BURRN! magazine November issue, 2002. The photographer was Hideo Canno.
Rob was a front cover for July issue, 2002 and his interview with photos is featured. An editor named Mr. Okuno explained that the building on which Rob was standing used to be a motel (primarily for sexual activities) and turned into a studio. The inside of the building still had beds and bathtubs, said Mr. Okuno.
It's located in notorious Kabuki-cho area of Shinjuku.

Very true but errors can be corrected, even the ones in pen and ink. It's a question of knowing how. You can use solvents with oil paint (and use walnut oil instead of linseed), a sharp knife for ink, and a lot of water for watercolors. My study is rather easy to correct since I didn't add gum arabic to the water. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by spapad from Sunday, September 20, 2009 11:51:25 AM)

Thanks, spapad, I appreciate it. The upper arm is actually too big and there are way too many mistakes on it to be any good but it's the best I've done in a while, and I kinda tried to make the picture bigger to see better, didn't work, but thanks for the encouragement.
It's done in pencil and watercolor, I am applying several layers but perhaps I should have left it well alone in sepia. If it doesn't improve, I'll start all over again. I'm not after it being exactly like the picture because I like to give it my own little twist. Whoever took the photo was very close and it's a great posture. Now I have been toying with the idea of first starting to draw the naked figure and only then add the clothes so I have a better idea of what goes where, you see?

The jackets he wears are really hard to draw anyway since most are complicated elaborations on the basic bomber jacket. I like your rendition of Halfords head.

Well, rendering to life artist's is called an iron Butterfly by my life artist teacher. He noticed I like to draw this way, and desuaded me from sketching this way, which took alot to get used to. I have some beautiful sketches buy I love my Iron Butterflies the best. He did, however see the completed portrait I did with my life size self portrait and Rob in the background and totally loved it! I got an A+ on that baby and the dean of the school of arts wrote on the back of it. "Susan, cant remember the last time I gave a student an A+ on this assignment, congratulations" Shame it got destroyed by a twit!
Get it?

Just watch the lips, work from the inside out and avoid the lines at the outer edges, something I did alot when I was young too.
I need to start drawing again. Problem is, I wonder how much what my dog Bella did to me in a fit of seizure is going to play into my style. My handwriting is ruined. She bit into my thumb while I was trying to put pills down her throat and she started seizing again. The sound was that of a done biting into a chicken bone. I had to still use that thumb to write while it healed and since then, my thumb has the fexiblity but I've lost the natural way I would hold a writing instrument and shall have to retrain myself.
Sketches like Becks does is different but she does capture the emotion and expressions very well.

Just wish I had a completed picture of it. So upsets me to know I don't. I need to find Dean Demayo before he get's too old and see if I can't get a copy from him as I know he took pictures of all the portraits that day.

Thank you for your insight. I don't know if I could draw something like that again myself.
