I like both Glenn and ken.  But it seems that Glenn does a lot more.  Glenn does a lot more solosBut I think you cant have priest, if you didn't have both of them.

They both come from different places to accomplish the same. It's pretty amazing to listen to or watch. Point/counter point. It just works. Better than anyone one else that I've seen (excluding Keith Richards and Ron Woods).

Nothing here y'all probably haven't read already...but I'd have to say that it's difficult for me to pin down which of the two are better.     There's quite a contrast in style between them, and yet, you can hear the differences in each guitarist's approach to soloing.      They've been equal strength right from word 'go,'   and the growth they've each endured has been quite parallel....after all...if it weren't,  they probably wouldn't work quite as well together as they have!!

As a player myself...I'd have to say that  stylistically  speaking,  I'd probably lean more toward Glenn's style....as it's been said,  he makes it look so damned easy (and fun!!)...and never was that more prevalent than the first time I witnessed him performing his solo to  "Electric Eye"   from the Memphis concert back when it first aired on MTV.     I remember thinking...VIVIDLY....'God...now THAT'S how at ease a player should look....strident..confident...without being arrogant about it.'

...but then...you hear the sheer lunacy of  KK's solo work in   "Dissident Aggressor,"   or that tasty-as-a-sumbitch solo in   "Jawbreaker,"    or the wild and atonal  tribute to Hendrix in the solo he does to   "Sinner"  from the same Memphis concert...and it becomes really difficult to better one over the other....much as I might understand the reasoning for those who might find it easier to pick one over the other.     Guess it depends on whose style moves you more.     For where Glenn & KK are concerned...they've affected me quite the same for many, many years!

In the sad eventually JP really dismembers, I already know Halford has one hell of a "solo" project, Glenn has two cd's out and Scott Travis has Racer-X. I would then be very curious to see if Downing do a solo project, how it would be like, and the same for Ian Hill. Would KK's solo project be heavier than Glenn's, I wonder...

Their stage presence and sound is different from each others. Glenn looks kinda like Ritchie Blackmore when playing, he makes it look so easy. K.K. is more of a subdued Janick Gers of Iron Maiden. I wasn't talking about them sounding the same as those guys, just stage presence being "KINDA" similar. I didn't say K.K. plays or sounds like Janick. "Stage presence". That's for those who read fast, and react before thinking. I like them both. And priest might not beable to move foward if one left

I agree with you.

I believe that if either one of them (doesn't matter which) were to leave the band, it would be more devastating for me as a fan than how I felt when Rob left.  It tore me up when he left, but the band moved on.  I don't think the same would happen if Glenn or KK left.  It's both or neither for me!!!
They are so different, but they are at their greatest feeding off of each other.  They, together, ARE Judas Priest!!!
Rock on!

K2M   you know music speak!  Well put
[K2M] Wednesday, July 16, 2008 9:25:23 PM
They are a lethal combo. THe two styles blend and create polyphonic majesty. They call one another and reply in fantastic form. amazing balance of flash flare artistry and didactic profciency. Dual phrasing from the two voice harmonies that breath Metal fire.

KK or Glenn--I wouldn't be able to chose --that's like asking if you want your left hand or right hand --you can do with one but both is so much better !!

They're both good, they feed off each other.  Its like cutting off your leg and expecting you to hop on your one leg for the rest of your life.  You could replace it, but it'll never be the same.  They both rock.
