I think he intends to keep Halford as his side entertainment. He gets more recognition with JP but his solo stuff is absolutely Brilliant.

| If Halford leaves the band, which ain't gonna happen I hope and think, the band will just cease. There near ready to retire anyway, maybe another album or two after this. And don't forget Halford wants to put out the forth Halford album and tour with it, and he said he wants to end his career with Priest. |

Never said he was leaving, just asking what if he decided to leave again. Who would replace him? Would Ripper be willing to come back? I'm thinking he would if they allowed him to have some input on new material and they did some material off Jug and Demolition in concert.
