well, they are not quite as old, but getting there. I didnt realize dreamtheater had been around for 25 years. watching tem my thought was a 4 man version of rush. I just dont think they write quite as well. beter vocals, and oddly way less vocals, awesome drumer, good guitar and bass....... dunno.
havent heard rush is coming, saw them a couple of years ago. if they come, not sure. probably not just for them [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by K2M from Monday, June 28, 2010 5:11:52 PM) | | K2M wrote: | | THere is. 2009 I definetly saw some concerts. Saw Metallica 4 times, Living Colour 5 times, this rock band called the toadies, Crue Fest 2(went for godsmack, saw them and motley crue), Testament, Between the Buried and Me, 3 Inches of Blood and yeah maybe a few others I can't think of.
2010:
American Carnage: Slayer/Megadeth/Testament
Overkill
Judas Priest(maybe the nostradamus thing will finally happen)
Godsmack
Toadies
Soundgarden
Red Hot Chili Peppers
and yea. This is of course if all of these bands play, i'll be there. Now let the bashing begin because I know some of these names aren't "METAL" but there are certain bands I've never had the chance to see or bands I never saw headline but yea. Edited at: Monday, January 11, 2010 3:11:58 PM |

Saw only one show in '09 (and God...there were so many great bands on the road this past year....wish I could've seen 'em all...but let's face it...going to concerts is a luxury these days...especially when you have a family to support). And I'm glad to say it was Judas Priest's summer jaunt that featured all of "British Steel." Phenomenal evening....the power and conviction they played with was overwhelming. What made it even more fitting, was to see it was raining considerably hard with thunder & lightning to boot as we made our way out from the PNC square...it brought to mind the lyric.... "....white bolts of lighting...came outta nowhere...blinding the darkness...creating the storm!!!!"
My only show...and it was so worth it. Edited at: Friday, January 08, 2010 4:48:53 PM |

2009 was a slow year for concerts. I only saw Opeth and Enslaved here in Tucson in May. Then I saw Priest in August up in Phoenix. This year looks good locally with some great shows coming up! |

Believe it or not, that Priest Toronto show was my first Priest concert ever.
And it absolutely blew me away. The energy level was there from beginning to end.
I go to a lot of shows in general, and nothing even compares to the Toronto show.
I check ticketmaster weekly, waiting to see when Priest goes back on tour, because I can't wait to see them again!!! [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by tasnam1 from Wednesday, December 30, 2009 9:46:45 PM) | | tasnam1 wrote: | |
Judas Priest - July 9 Toronto Molson Amp - THE BEST SHOW EVER! 10/10
Judas Priest - August 4 San Diego - OK show 6/10
Judas Priest - August 5 Costa Mesa - Very Good Show - Met Ian & Scott 8/10
Judas Priest - August 17 Fort Laud - Good Show - DVD taping, Met Eddie Trunk before show 7/10
I had the chance to compare the shows to each other and the Toronto show was near flawless.
THAT should have been the DVD taping!

Yeah they are back together touring. They played a great 2 hour set.
After the show, it was about 2am, and they had to be in another city the next day, but they chilled, signed anything the fans wanted signed, and took pictures with everyone.
All 4 of them, great guys! [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by jimmyjames from Tuesday, December 29, 2009 10:13:28 PM) | | jimmyjames wrote: | | Are Living Color back together again?
