Recently I've been crazy about Anne Bishop's trylogy "The Black Jewels". It's absolutely mesmerizing, I've been reading it over and over again |

Other than that, I'm also reading couple of books in Spanish, and I'm looking for one in German.

Shame I can no longer just go to the bookstore and buy books. They closed our Borders store about a year ago, and now if Walmart doesn't have it, I have to go to Amazon. Which deprives me of a favorite past time. Just browsing the shelves and picking up what seemed interesting. It's too much of a pain in ass to do that online.

Well at the moment I am reading the Lily Bard Mysteries Omnibus by Charlaine Harris - really enjoy her books cos they're easy to read and just a good read in general. I have read all the Sookie Stackhouse books and some others of hers. Big Harry Potter fan too LOL!!! I also like Marian Keyes for some light weight reading, Thomas Harris for crime and Diana Gabaldon is alright, but her novels are becoming drawn out and convoluted.

I leave the Jaquie Collins and Daniell Steal to my sister, that is her realm of reading. I'd read about anything as long as it stays interesting.
I'll have to check out some of the books you have mentioned, as I have never read any of them. Always good to find a new read.

It is so beautifully written, just amazing. At the same time, I love cold war spy novels - The Charm School by Nelson DeMille, Gorky Park and Polar Star by Martin Cruz Smith (but not the final book in the trilogy - Red Square - really disappointing, read as if it was written by a completely different author). And yes, I'll even admit to Jackie Collins, too...LOL only on vacations, as a naughty indulgence!!!! | | spapad wrote: | | Where to start. My favorite, tuff to call. I know my least favorite. I was disapointed in Dan Brown's Davinci Code because I figured the end out before I should have, other than that I loved the book. So, if that is the worst I have to say, I'd say I'm a bookworm. Flora is well on her way to filling a full bookshelf too, and actually carried enough accelerated reader points at school last year to cover what was required for the entire class. She internets, reads, and only cuts the TV on once a month probably.
Oopsy, this is what am I reading right now. lol a re-read, "What if the Moon Didn't Exist" I'm probably the only person who ever bought the book. lol
