It is rather like comparing night to day isn't it. Now take Scott vs Simon and you may have a valid debate. But Scott is an awsome skins man. Dave Holland was nothing but a one time drummer for 'Priest who should have been out a long ago. Luckily Scott came just before the writing of Painkiller and the 3 albums produced with him on it go to show his capabilities have maximised 'Priest's ability to play some heavier chops and to their full extent. Holland was just another random that made it to the band when they weren't so bothered about the drums, but Scott's abilities outstood all the other 50 drummers who auditioned in '89 and he was specifically chosen by 'Priest, and to this date remains their true drummer. The better way to put the question Holland vs Travis is...who would you wanna see if you go see 'Priest show? Scott Travis or no-show. |

Speaking of Holland....anyone ever wonder how a heavy metal drummer can't summon the coordination to operate a motorcycle? He had to have that stupid little sidecar in the Turbo videos. Edited at: Wednesday, July 02, 2008 5:39:33 PM |

i think les binks was more tastfull of drummer than all of them and dave sounds realy good on screamin but none of them besides scott would of made painkiller and jugulator the brutal albums that they are. |

General consensus seems to be Travis. And I'm 100% with that. Scott is a superior drummer by far.
I love watching him bust out Judas Rising...fantastic!!! |

Best thing they did was get rid of Holland.
So poor - he even had to have someone off stage filling in the parts he was too useless to do.
I only wish Travis had joined after Binks left and given Priest more power.
Why did they hire such a shit drummer? Edited at: Sunday, June 08, 2008 11:24:18 AM |
