| For me, i dont personlly listen to metal. I infact listen to HEAVY metal. Big difference. There are very very very........ very few bands that have come out in the last 20 years that play this specific genre of music. |

| Here's something to think about when coming to a conclusion. "Who invented metal ? " Think of 3 bands that you would say "invented metal". How did they play ? I think they were far different than most of you want to define metal. If they invented it, would it not follow that they define it ? Just a thought. |

I'm going to piss off someone around here but I have to say this:
The Scorpions of today are not metal. All they come up with is ballads these days.
The golden age of the metalic Scorpions was decades ago.
Not to say I don't like hearing them, in fact, I do, but metal in the sense of heavy, mean, fast, furious, rebellious, ranting, raving, mad, aggressive, vulcanic....it isn't. |

to all of you.... just because a band doesnt HARDCORE THRASH in every song doesnt mean they arent some form of metal.... motley crue... IS in fact, a form of metal. now im not goin to name off every metal band ever... but i must say newage metal does NOT deserve to be called metal becoz ther songs all sound the same... and its boring, and one definition of metal happens to be NOT BORING. |

Some Gotic/Symphonic bands which are good, but doesn´t feel like metal |
