I'd like to see a documentary covering the the entire Priest existence--with just them ---old interviews/shows --little known facts & what happened at some of the concerts --that would be so sweet !!

oh cool, so KK is a fan of tennis? That is great to know, because I play tennis, and to know that my favorite musician likes it, just makes it that much more fun. ! Sorry, this has nothing to do with the topic, but I just thought that was cool.

There could be some great old stories in the movie/documentry. My favorite would be about the show at Madison Square Garden the night Judas Priest was band from Performiing there or personally attending the show. After the second encore the fans wanted more PRIEST!PRIEST! PRIEST!

The audience proceeded to rip the foam cussions out of the seats and began fling them on stage. Robs bike was burried. The band came out and performed another song ( might have been Tyrant or Hell Bent for Leather) while standing on top of the cussions which covered he whole stage about 2 - 3 feet high.

I met rob recently at a signing  for the re-release of the fight albums and he said KK and Glenn wanted to go see a tennis match at the garden a few weeks later and had to dress in desquise to get in. The door man recognized them because he was a fan and jokingly gave them a hard time. But laughed about it and let them in.

Its hard to believe that was 30 years ago. Seems like yesterday. Edited at: Friday, July 25, 2008 10:37:33 AM

Why don't they just do a documentary. With footage from recording sessions throughout their whole careers, interviews. Insert some of their tunes into the movie from time to get the story going more fluently. They could also have the band's crew partly speak the story. Former members could be each let to have a short interview too. The idea would be more like a history of Judas Priest.

Richard dean Anderson as Glenn Gary Oldman as Rob.

But still even though we do all know, dont you think it would be cool? Oh well, I think it would be cool, and anyway, it was a "what if" idea. Isn't it just fun to think about?

I thought the same thing MM when I saw American History X. Edward Norton gets my vote.

How about a younger Jeremy Irons for Glenn?

Norton would be a good choice. How did you come up with Owen? I can't see that at all.

Did anyone ever see American History X with Edward Norton?  He was sporting a bald head, goatee and tats in that flick and looked just like a Younger Halford!!!!  Owen Wilson would make a good KK...

Priest have earned the respect of millions over time and the charts just dont speak to how much they are loved.

I was at the store yesturday .  . Actually, it was more around 1 in the Morning!
But anyways, I came across the new Hit Parader, and it was on the best Hard Rock bands of all time, ya know.

They had Judas Priest in there, and we should all agree on the first thing that was mentioned..

It pretty much mentioned that Judas Priest hasn't gotten the respect it deserves, for they are the Gods of Heavy Metal!

And we know they aren't as "radio-friendly" as a lot of other bands *coughmetallicacough*

Because of this failure to notice a great golden band, they most likely won't get an opportunity to get their own "movie".

ACTUALLY 'ROCK STAR' HAD PRACTICALLY NOTHING TO DO WITH RIPPER'S RISE TO FAME WITH PRIEST....HOLLYWOOD DIDN'T EVEN WANT PRIEST INVOLVED...THE MOVIE WAS HORSES%$T,
THINK IT WENT TO VIDEO IN WHAT?,3 WEEKS...SO, PRIEST FANS,THIS BASICALLY WAS ONE BIG HOLLYWOOD JOKE,DON'T BUY INTO IT...EVEN THE MEMBERS OF PRIEST GAVE IT TWO

Umm..... Rock Star?

This probably won't happen anyway. Priest aren't huge sellers like Def Leppard are.

I was just sitting here thinking, why on Earth has there not been a Judas Priest movie, like they have the "Hysteria: The Def Leppard Story" and the "Jimi Hendrix Story", why is there not a "Judas Priest Story?" They could get actors to portray each member, and show basically how the band got its fame, and show their early lives before they were in bands. I don't know about you guys, but I really like to have a visual, so just reading about the boys and their early beginnings in Birmingham, doesn't give me enough of a visual to actually see it. It would be cool to have a really well made movie of their lives, with actors portraying them at each step in their lives, their childhood all the way till now or so. So what do you think, or who maybe could you think of to act for the guys?

I think they will make one of these someday.
