I reckon everyone likes Led Zeppelin. Even people that say they don't, secretly do. LZ are wicked. |

Are you kidding? Jimmy was the highlight of the closing ceremonies for me! (lol)
He was smoking hot, I'm still trying to get used to the white locks though.
I'm also relieved to see that I'm not the only person who names her plants lol. Did anybody see Jimmy Page play at the closing Olympic ceremonies?
My plant's name at work is "Robert Plant" - everybody seem to get a kick out of that. |

Valhala, I am coming.....
I think they successfuly mixed oriental rhythms and melodies with american blues (go figure, they're brits). I wouldn't say I'm a fan in the same regard I'm a Judas Priest fan, but I can listen to their music and enjoy it, especially because I don't get to hear it to death. I don't listen to the radio hardly at all so that has something to do with it.
Robert Plant is still looking yummy. Meow. |

Sorry jerZgirl, but I heard over the weekend that Plant turned down the $200+million the band would've received for doing such a tour. Apparently, that stuff he's doing with Allison Krauss is keeping him happy. *Sigh* [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by jerZgirl from Monday, August 04, 2008 8:25:55 PM) | | jerZgirl wrote: | | Love Led Zep...my mom and dad are big Zep fans. Old Zep is better than no Zep. |

Zep are legends. Agreed, played to death, but still phenomenal. It was the first concert I ever attended waayyy back in 1971 in Toronto during their 'Stairway' tour. I have 2 tattoos - their symbols - etched into my skin. Zozo is on my left upper arm and the 'feather in a circle' is on my left ankle. Never had one ounce of regret for getting them done. My fave album by them is Led Zep III - Since I've Been Loving You is my fave song.
Over and out. |

I certainly do love the music these gents have made over the years...but....to be perfectly honest with you...if I never hear another Led Zeppelin song again (save for obscure live stuff, or album cuts RARELY played on the radio), it'll be too soon. I've heard virtually everything these guys have done backwards and forwards over the last 30 of the 38 years of my life...I think I get it...absolute legends...absolute giants. |
