are priest still metal?? Sure nostradamus was different, but it was stil metal, many metal bands do concept album (Iron maiden-Seventh son..) And if they werent metal anymore they wouldnt be onstage playing heavy metal classics like Painkiler, theyd be doing un-plugged Elton John Covers

Heavy Metal is my religion
Judas is my priest

Are Priest still metal? Humm.....................Are Razors still sharp?! They defined what metal was and has progressed to be with the release of British Steele (all bow humbly!) They were the pioneers into harder Metal and the roots of thrash. Ask any Metal Band worth anything who was their influences, and not one of them would fail to mention Judas Priest as one of their earliest inspirations. VIVA LA PRIEST! LONG LIVE THE METAL GODS!!!   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by J.D. DIAMOND from Wednesday, May 13, 2009 5:40:35 PM)

I would be hessitant to call Nostradamus a "metal album".  Judas Priest are still a heavy metal band, but its a real question if Nostradamus is a metal album,I say NO.
The album is way to experimental,to soft and to opera for a metal album.

Maybe the next LP will blow all of us away!

Definitely metal.  Nostradamus might have been different...i wasn't a particularly huge fan of all the song son it...but it's still metal by all means.
