I first heard of them via Guitar Hero III and Our Truth. I just loved playing it, and it's the only one I can play on Hard. It's fairly simple but the vocals and timing are amazing & mesmerizing. They're actually coming here this Friday, but I have to work. Boo....Had it off, but had to switch to go to Anaheim the following week. Anything good to do there? (Besides Disney.)

We are going to see them tonight at Clutch Cargo in DEEEEEEEETROIT ROCK CITY!! They always put on a great show. Too bad they aren't headlining this tour.

I can't say anything more other than i love Lacuna Coil, whenever i hear Swamped or Our Truth, i get shivers. However they don't compare to the shivers i get when i crank in Angel of Retribution and hear Demonizer kick in with all its might.

Aww man, I really regret missing them when they came by earlier this year up in Phoenix w/Killswitch Engage, Chimaira and Disturbed. I have their first DVD release and they show so much energy live it's unbelievable. I really want to see them live so bad! I agree it's a lot poppier than their other albums, but I have to admit, it grew on me! I have to be in the right mood for it though. Spellbound is GREAT live! When they play live, they kick everything up a notch which I really like. They opened for Disturbed on the Music as a Weapon tour and they kicked ass. They picked the right songs off Shallow Life to do and cranked them out - it was GREAT! I love Cristina, she is what every female lead singer should try to be - classy and talented.

I love the band myself but can't really wrap my mind around their latest offering "Shallow Life". There are good songs but some are too poppy and really detract from the original sound. But I LOVE Spellbound though, I think it is one of the best songs they have released so far!

The members of Lacuna Coil are all VERY nice. Before the shows, they grill out by the tour bus. Sometimes you can walk right up to them if it's not roped off and hang out and ask for autographs. When they headline in the clubs, they will go into the club after they shower and have some drinks while the guys pack up their stuff. When we saw them last, two of the members walked right into the bar and hung out with us for a while. It was really GREAT!! So if you get a chance to see them, hang out after the show and maybe you will meet them and keep your eyes open in the bar BEFORE the show!
This is in the bar before the show with Maus (guitar player). Notice I am still loyal to Priest - I'm wearing my JP cross!!
This is me with Maki (bass) out on the patio drinking a couple beers before the show.

This is my favorite song - Swamped. This song is incredible live. I still think they should have opened for Priest instead of PopEvil!!

Lacuna Coil are defnitely a band worth listening to I reckon. They are what Evanescence would be like if they were any good LOL!!! The singer is very good (the female singer, not the backup singer dude). Overall I think they're a worthwhile band to listen to! I would like to see them live, from youtube vids I've seen they appear to be a pretty high energy act.
