I've got to say....... This is a great listen to be ready for the holidays. I cannot lie. I love it. Perfect to just let the day go by with the holidays on your mind.

You're right Dale.  It's nice to know that Priest or any of the members of the band, haven't stopped evolving and haven't gotten soft with their sound over the years.  Can you believe they've been around as long as they have?!  Nothing makes me happier than my favorite band/musicians still making new music and still touring.  I love'em!!

Most metal bands become softer and softer as time goes by but not Priest or Halford himself for that matter. They just get harder and harder and better and better. This christmas album is AMAZING!!

They will say "no" they don't have time, but we all know that they pop in here from time to time just to see what people are saying ect..but I don't think they hang around long enough to know our user names..ect...if you had a band as big as Priest, wouldn't you have a look from time to time? I sure would.Good point Head Banger.

Yes I will adress that, i've read some of his vauger answers to simular questions and have a good couple of questions that will pin him down. I'm also asking him about the possiblity of an autobiography or something simular.

Hi Stu, that's excellent news, please ask one question which every interviewer seems to step-toe around. What are his plans for the future both in Judas Priest and the Halford band? There has been no updates here in a while and i for one am a restless fan wanting to know what we can expect and i'm sure there are plenty of others who think the same.

Hey guy's just letting you know I will be interviewing Rob about Winter songs and his new fashion line as well as some misc priest questions and will be airing it on my new Radio show REBEL YELL on Sunday the 13th at 3pm AEST (Australian time). For those of you who don't live in Hobart (most of you) here is a link http://www.edgeradio.org.au/ where you can listen online. My show is actually a comedy show but with a music section at the end, but as i have the privilege of talking to Rob the first episode will be a Christmas special revolving around winter songs and a few other bits and pieces! What a great interview for the first show! I will also stream it on the Edge radio site as well as the Rebel Yell Facebook http://www.facebook.com/pages/Rebel-Yell/186685707073?ref=ts If anyone wants to suggest some questions i'll be happy to consider them!

Oh Holy Night sounded cheesy when I listened to it initially, but the more I listen to it, the more I like it's lilting quality.  It's a good sing-a-long!  I don't find We Three Kings dreary at all and it's one of my favorite songs.  I love Get Into The Spirit, and Emmanuel too.  Great songs!  In general, the more I listen to the cd, the more I am enjoying it.  Especially since it's looking a little more like Christmas around here.  I appreciate not being forced to listen to pop or (shudder) country Christmas songs.

I bought Born Again in 1984 a year after its release Head Banger and I like Born Again. I'm not to keen on the "Keep It Warm" track and some of the Born Again song but the rest is cool.

I think you hit on a key there generaly your first exposure sets the tone.  Priest I first heard unleashed and still love it.  sabath I heard born again, and while I dont know many people who like it I still love it.

Well i didn't say I hated it,I just don't think its one of thier better tunes, its alright though kinda.Yeah the solos are what makes it "alright",the solos kick ass though.

I found Holy Night a tad too cheesy, though its okay. My personal favourites would be Get into the Spirit and O come O come Emmanuel (though I like that carol anyway), somehow it really fits his voice. Not We Three Kings though- no amount of musical talent can rescue a tune that is sadly fundamentely dreary. There are still a few songs on the CD that I haven't listened to yet.

Hmm might disagree there like, the guitar solos in that song are arguably the best they have ever come up with. They fit perfectly. I think it's a great crowd pleaser.   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by J.D. DIAMOND from Saturday, November 28, 2009 11:18:32 PM)

I wonder how much the opinions are coloured by the album that opened your mind to Priest for the first time.  Defenders was my first foray into the Priest world, and it is one of my most listened to cds.  I kind of compare everything to that, because that to me is classic Priest.  I am still ecstatic that once I discovered them, I had this whole crazy catalogue to wade through!  I am also grateful that I have had so many new Priest albums to get to know since then.  Not too many people can say that about their favorite bands.  By the way, it started snowing here today, nothing serious, we don't need the national guard yet (lol), as a result I've been listening more to Winter Songs, just to get into the spirit, so to speak.  I must say, MAN, that  Oh Holy Night is modest yet incredibly powerful!  I am really warming up to the whole cd.  Sadly, my least favorite is the last one, Oh Come All Ye Faithful.  To me it sounds like it's trying too hard to be grand.  Whereas Holy Night is unassuming and comes off very very grand.  It just needs to have the synthesizers removed altogether from the song.  Seriously, liking the cd!  Ho ho ho!

"Rock Hard,Ride Free" is not one of thier better tunes to me,and I wouldn't call it a "great" track, its just  ehhh alright.

I love Take These Chains but not too crazy about Angel, reminds me of that Styx ballad for some reason. Like you already heard it a thousand times. Don't see how anyone could dislike Rock Hard Ride Free. Classic Priest.
