I find it too hard to rate them all, but I have no doubt about my top three:
1. Powerslave
2. The Number of the Beast
3. Piece of Mind

The latest Maiden cd "Final Frontier" (2010) rated higher than classic 80's "Iron Maiden" and" Killers". I like your style and the comment after #15 Fear of the Dark. [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Electric Pie from Thursday, April 21, 2011 2:55:01 PM)

My opinion:
1- 7th son of a 7th son
2- No prayer for the dying (I think most of you disagree, but this album's got some fantastic songs)
3- Somewhere in time
4- The Number of the Beast
5- A matter of life and death
6- Piece of Mind
7- Brave new world
8- Powerslave
9- The Final Frontier
10 - Dance of Death
11- Iron Maiden
12- Killers
13- X-factor
14- Virtual XI
15- Fear of the dark (This doesn't mean it's a bad album. Maiden has no such thing as a bad album) |

Very interesting....11 members posted 1980's Maiden albums in the top 5 while 4 members posted albums 1990 and above in the top 5. Looks like the MAJORITY of these fans enjoy the 80's Maiden better than 1990 and above. I guess that blows a certain opinion around here out of the water.

Rate Maiden's album is hard to me.
There are different ages, not only the different stages lived by the band but the metal world as a whole suffered changes as the band evolutioned from a semi punk, heavy metal basic to a more dramatic and ambitious sound.
I should have to mention The number ... and Powerslave, and after that New Brave World, Fear of the Dark, but I think I love too much Maiden to choose from... |

This is not suprising but out of 13 posts that rate these albums 1 through 15 .....11 members posted The Final Frontier either #10,11,12 or 13 and only 2 rated under #10....Wramirez rated it at #7 and Jimmy james rated it at #8. This shows that The Final Frontier isn't that great of an Iron Maiden album. The 1980's Maiden reigns supreme and always will.

I think 2006 AMOLAD is the closest thing to a good Maiden album since Seventh Son but it still isn't anywhere near 80's Maiden. I still give that album credit because of how much they suck nowadays, but yeah your list shows like others that the best Iron Maiden will always be in the 1980's,this will never change because the band has too big of an ego to listen to fans that love thier earlier work. 9. A Matter of Life and Death

THE WORST HEAVY METAL (but still heavy metal) ALBUM OF ALL TIME:
15. VIRTUAL XI
(this albums contains all factors which describes its 'winning': awful production, worst sleeve and artwork, horrible and above all, trivial songs and non-listenable singer (who is a good singer on his solo cds!) |

Whats funny is that The Final Frontier is nowhere near the top 6 albums that everybody is listing except for Jimmy who had it at number 8. The majority is that the first 5 albums are better than the rest by far.
