Come on!! How about a little FREEWHEEL BURNING? A TYRANT/GENOCIDE combo ? HELL PATROL? A touch of ALL GUNS BLAZING ? SCREAMING FOR VENGEANCE? A bit of ROCKA ROLLA perhaps? A visit from THE RIPPER ? A sprinkle of WHITE HEAT/RED HOT or maybe some DELIVERING THE GOODS? Pick one from EXCITER, SINNER or RUNNING WILD? How about blowing your long-time fans mind with a little RUN OF THE MILL? Are RIDING ON THE WIND or GRINDER ok? How about we CALL FOR THE PRIEST so he can revive the current set list that has stayed the same for 52 concerts already?
Of course the band has to play all the classics that the fans expect but songs like TURBO LOVER (yeach!), THE SENTINEL, BLOOD RED SKIES, STARBREAKER and even DIAMONDS & RUST & HEADING OUT TO THE HIGHWAY can easily be substituted by any of the songs listed above.

Hmmm...I prefer that they play it safe than that they risk hurting their performance (or themselves) on one or many nights just to play a completely obscure classic (if you can call any of those songs you listed "obscure" since they've already been played live before).
Also...apparently nothing has changed setlist-wise, in your opinion, since 2004...when KK was still in JP. At this point, I highly doubt anything would have changed if he continued to stay with JP for this tour.

I know what you mean Vail. When I was 18 with sparkling clean lungs, I could not hold a note as long or as high as Rob, and now all this time, some smoking involved, it would be asking for a miracle from me (especially) or him to perform the same.

Anyway, to say that they haven't actually made any effort to mix things up since Rob rejoined, is also an exaggeration, because since 2004 they have played the following songs along with the usual & expected classics:
2005: Riding On The Wind, Judas Rising, Revolution, Hot Rockin', I'm A Rocker, Deal With The Devil, Hellrider, Exciter, Worth Fighting For, Solar Angels & Desert Plains.
2006: Take On The World
2008: Prophecy, Eat Me Alive, Between The Hammer & The Anvil, Devil's Child, Hell Patrol, Death, Dissident Aggressor, Angel, Rock Hard Ride Free & Sinner.
2010: Rapid Fire, Grinder, You Don't Have To Be Old To Be Wise, The Rage, Steeler & Freewheel Burning.
Not to mention acoustic &/or electric versions of Diamonds & Rust as well.
One last thing I will say is that regardless of the set list on the Epitaph tour, in my opinion, Judas Priest are playing some of the best shows that I have seen from them (and I've seen them 17 times since 1983). | On 'Rockline' last week someone asked if there would be any surpirises. They didn't say no, but said that the setlist is really popular, so few complaints of this or that left out. I like the list, but then I like everything they do so I'll be happy. |

I agree with the majority of Maple Syrup's comments lately about Priest but I gotta go with Val on this one.
At this point in Priest's career it's all about "that final time" with me. I haven't been watching youtube or checking
out setlists because I don't care. I just want to see my favorite band of all time one last time. I think they picked
the correct time to do this, I just wish they would have offered a little more by way of metal music than they have
since Rob's return. Even though the downhill may have started before that it sure picked up steam since his return.
I thought they sounded freakin' awesome live on the British Steel tour so I'm fairly confident this is going to rock also.
Maybe the new album will bring back some classic Priest metal.(maybe not) If this turns out to be it I say "So be It".

If JP changes up the setlist tonight, then great. If not, then it's fine by me, too. I don't care if they end up not bringing out those "dusted classics". I mean, whatever happened to going to a concert just to have fun? Why think to yourself, "this dinosaur band with bad management isn't playing those extremely rare, diamonds-in-the-rough 1970s dusted classics. Effin' sad." while watching the band play right in front of you with your arms crossed?
EFF THAT. I JUST WANNA SEE THEM PLAY ONE LAST TIME!!!!!!!!!!!

I say no freakin'way. Same 19 - 20 songs they have been doing nightly. Plus, new member Richie, so no need to go outside the box. But boy is it surely need..aka Eat Me Alive, Desert Plains, anything old & rare..Instead SOS !!
