I'll throw in my 2 cents..... I never ever in my wildest dreams thought i would be able to see the Almighty Priest live.... let alone, have them play in my country (Australia - The forgotten country... yes there are 26 million of us!!) LET ALONE my city!!! Countless bands come to play the 2 biggest cities on OZ then piss off.... Mind you Brisbane is an hour and 45 mins flight from Sydney....
Priest however, after never having played here, decide that it is finally time to give us a visit. I took the time to see two shows..... No way was i only going to see them once, I know it's highly unlikely they will ever visit again. So to me, having witnessed such greatness on stage live has been an absolute blessing and something I hope i never forget.
NOW, as for the show itself... When it comes to the whole stage performance i was very pleased. The sound was top notch, the band looked like they were having fun.. great atmosphere! They played songs i never thought i'd hear live.. PLUS some i was dying to hear live. As for the nit-picking that's going on here..... I would be a bit peeved if Rob DIDN'T move around the stage. If he favoured one side or just stood in the middle i would probably be yelling some sort of abuse... Everytime he moved in front of the crowd I could feel the excitement, it made for a much more enjoyable night. Bands use this technique live... perhaps not in smaller club gigs cos the stage is too small for it. But look at Maiden... is there a problem with Bruce and Steve navigating the stage throughout their performance?... IMO It makes it more lively, keeps the audiences attention. It's all part of the show... which essentially is what it is... "A Show" If it was purely "live music" they would sit on stools and not move..
((End Rant)).... Probably the biggest you'll ever see come from me...
