Hey Darth.....dude,you got to eventually buy this DVD "The Saxon Chronicles"...2001 live in Germany headline in front of thousands of German denim & leather heavy metal maniacs!! 5.1 surround sound,they crank out track after track of elite songs...not one of the tracks they played this night are bad,they are all elite tracks...every one of them!!!
They open up with "Motorcycle Man" and it just kicks fuckin balls man!!! The atmosphere of this DVD is absolutely supurb!! From start to finish...it will make you wish you were there I can promise!! This live DVD is one of my favorites ever!! Thanks to "Angel" from Walsall England(missing member whom I speak with off the site on a consistant basis)for introducing me to this DVD and the new era of Saxon back in 2005!!

Hey,no problem Darth!! Check out those 12 albums I've listed below,those are Saxon's best 12 albums out of thier 18 album career. But there are worthy tracks from the "Solid Ball Of Rock" and "Forever Free" albums...just not the whole album/albums...about half of each ones,the other halfs are pretty much throw away b-side quality of songs.

Hey J.D., I listened to Inner Sanctum a couple of times now and I think it was wind noise (not to mention that I listened when I was more awake). Good CD.
I already have a bunch of Saxon tunes on my laptop (Denim & Leather, Princess of the Night, Motorcycle Man, Crusader, Heavy Metal Thunder, and 747 (Strangers in the Night to name a few). I'll probably search through iTunes and see what else is there.

My car stereo is fine. Listened to Powerslave on the way to work this morning. Maybe wind noise is muting Biff's vocals? Time will tell as I intend to rip the CD to my iTunes this afternoon. The band has 18 studio albums and 12 of them are jewels. The other 6 LPs...."Crusader"...the opening song is a great Saxon track by all means and album cover but the rest of the album is not that great.
Innocence Is No Excuse album.(1985)...."Rock The Nations".(1986)....and Destiny(1988) albums are not good at all,mid 80's hair band type of B.S.
1990 "Solid Ball Of Rock" has a couple of good tunes but the other half is unworthy songs....same goes for the next album 1992 "Forever Free"...half of it is good,the other half is not. Saxon's first 5 albums are good with only maybe 1 or 2 songs on each that is not(8 songs out of 10 is not bad) and Saxon's last 7 studio albums are excellent,again with maybe an exception of 1 or 2 songs that are not up to the quality as the rest of the album,but again if an album has 10 or 11 tracks on it and you don't like 2 of them,thats still an albums worth of good material.That being said,I would recommend 12 Saxon LPs to Saxon fans.
