Lol... Yup, tourists are a pain in the ass... I hate to see them around here. Then again, I love going somewhere as a tourist, so I guess it equals out.
Greece... I would LOVE to go there once. Nice mediteranean land, with so many sights... Where in Greece were you? Athens? Did you see the Acropolis? | | spapad wrote: | | LOL, I did once in Greece use my flash on my camera, I was standing on the benches in the gallery to get a better shot and started flashing, the gard was saying in about 5 language to me to quit, I just acted like I didn't understand her. LOL Bad tourist! BAD!!! LOL | | _strat_ wrote: | | Yeah, thats true. Mind you, I did smuggle a camera inside, but I didnt dare to use it. There were just too many guides in there. Pity. The Cathedral in Florence was a wonderfull sight. | | spapad wrote: | | You cant take pictures of ancient art work because the preservationists feel it will speed the fading of the pigments in the paint. I can see their point, but it doesn't help when your standing there looking at something so beautiful and not allowed to take home your own memory in a snapshot. Thank god, camera's have come a long way and can take decent low light pictures. | | _strat_ wrote: | | They let you take pictures in a church?!?! Damit... The fascist in Italy wouldnt even let me take a camera into the Florence cathedral.
But, I see that there is the ever-so typical rope barrier in front of the altar... Kinda like in front of nightclubs, eh?
