She suffered greatly, even more so because she is a very fragile person. I am so glad she is away from all that now.
Right need to walk the dog before it rains again. I shall return. You think you know someone, but they are just putting out there what they want you to see, in the beginning, then it unfolds and get's uglier by the day with people like that. She's well rid of them. Thank God, no actual physical harm came to her, because I know she must have suffered greatly emotionally. | | Becks wrote: | | Not just because of that, but she made it clear she did not want this person to find out where she had moved to when she was still in that city. I explicity told her not to contact her ex (she has done it with previous ex's, as a lot of women often do post breakup) cos if he found out where she was, the stalker would find out too. He is scared of this woman himself. She was texting her awful things, sending her emails, one of which she showed me and said stuff like I can't wait till you're gone for good. This woman did drive bys of the house when my friend lived with the now ex. She went to the police but all they could do was advise her to get a trespass notice on this woman. My friend did go to this womans work and tell them that she was using company time to harass her though. This woman and the now ex got a trespass notice against my friend and she had never even been to their house! (yes the ex got back together with the stalker). It was absolutely ridiculous and quite horrifying so I am personally glad, for her safety and mental wellbeing, she left that place. It was all incredibly sad
Like you said, stalking is very real and very very scary. Especially what can come from it. | | spapad wrote: | | Did she move because of that? That would be even sadder. To have your life comprimised is bad enough, to that extent would be unendurable.
There was a report on the news just a couple days ago about a poor girl who just knew someone casaully and then he emailed her and started to tell her he didn't like what she was wearing etc, she left the area when she transfered schools I believe, but two years later this insane person turned up and shot her dead at her job. Stalking is real, and it's a shame they can't do more before the suspect makes a move. What a waste of life. | | Becks wrote: | | I totally agree, people like that should not keep their jobs when they abuse their power that way.
My friend got away from that situation thank goodness, she has moved away from that city altogether in the end. | | spapad wrote: | | I've had my brush with such a person and hope to never have that happen again. Know it wont, because anyone who wants to know me better show up with a full background check.
I just cant believe people like that woman keep their jobs! That's Abuse, what she does, she needs to be on the abuse registry!
Hope your friend got her situation sorted, it's hell to feel afraid in your own home. (Quoting Message by Becks from Wednesday, May 13, 2009 9:53:24 PM)

ARGH my old flatmate recently had someone like that, liked toying people, harassing/stalking her! Poor thing was an absolute a wreck, it's a long story, the stalker was her (now ex) boyfriends ex. She was scared of going to sleep at night cos of this person. I have absolutely no tolerance for people like that, they're pretty much sociopaths in my book.

She is definately someone you want to kick in the ass as soon as she turns to walk away! The sad part is you can tell how much she enjoys toying with people.

Blegh sounds like a right cow, Spa! I used to work with many people like that, I ignored them as much as I could, when usually I just wanted to go LOL. I feel for you having to put up with someone like that!

I myself and doing well, looking forward to the show, but work sucks! The most evil of all state surveyers walked through our doors today. This woman has power and she abuses it! I hate to even have her talk to me, never know, what she will do. We all wish her a very short visit!
