The last 2 weeks!! My mom had a large stroke on June 4th. We did not think she was going to make it. The doctors told us that even if she did wake up, she would not be able to swallow, speak, or remember us. After 8 days, my mom regained consciousness and was able to recognize us!! She is able to swallow and they are slowly feeding her, the more practice she gets, the better it will get. She is now taking the spoon out of the nurses hands and feeding herself!!

When there was very little hope, Priest helped me through.... during the long drives back and forth to the hospital, Priest was there. They have always helped me through the tough times and this was one of the worst. I find comfort in their lyrics and insights into problems. They will always be my favorite band. I feel like I owe them a lot of $$ for the therapy sessions - they are way better than a shrink.

Priest also helped my mom - while I was visiting her, my brother called my cell phone which has "Breakin' the Law" as the ringtone. When my mom heard the song, she woke up and looked at me and knew who I was (this was the first time she woke up)! She took my hand and held it to her heart and tried to speak. THAT is the POWER of PRIEST!!!

My mom is not out of the woods yet, but we continue to have faith that every day things will improve. Priest helps me get through and have faith.
