| As a post-Darryn Helloffs Era member, there are 2 sides to him I'm aware of. I once clicked on his profile from the Most Respected Member area and clicked on his Posts to see what this guy was like. Anyone who's ever done that knows that the site only shows like the first 100 posts, but it was more than enough to realize that the guy was intellegent, knowledgeable, articulate, engaging and would pretty much chat with anyone. A lot of his opinions were not my cup of tea, but respectful none the less. What happend?? I wasn't around then, but something did because the Darryn then is not the Darryn now. I'm sure I've engaged if not befriended some of these alter-egos of his, they all seem to have their own personality. What I do know is that he abused the system set up here at this site. I never have, nor will I ever, look at him as a respectful individual nor do I feel him in any positive sense of the word. I do not feel I owe him anything nor do I look at him as having been of any benefit here. As Freeze pointed out, any idiot can create a thread, myself included. He was here at the beginning so it's no great suprise he created some of them as there were none...big deal!!! He's changed his name more often than a porn star and has stirred up way more trouble than he's worth. He's more a pariah than an innovator and has done more to hurt JP.com than to help or promote. The worst part of Darryns presence here is that newer members like myself, who used to welcome most all new members to the Board here, now don't care because I won't waste anymore of my time until they've been here long enough to establish themselves, which sucks because there are a lot of new cool people, but because of Darryn, I can't trust who they are and have been disappointed far too many times when I realize it's just another personality of his. This place, not so long ago, was a really fun place to be. Now, it's more of a trash bin...and that, in large part, we owe Darryn a very warm thank you for!!!! Way to go, buddy!!!!! |
