It's just sad when you see it happen to the most innocent people in the world. It sounds like you're doing well there though, which is great | | devils_child wrote: | | Yeah some of it you just have to try and block out, sometimes I feel like i'm not there... like i'm someone else when I'm at work..... At the end of the week alot of them go home which is good to see, but it is hard at times not to be affected by it. Music helps..... I just escape into it at the end of the day and try to remember that sickness is part of life, as much as it sucks. | | Becks wrote: | | I can imagine some stuff would be very difficult to see, DC. Sick children is one of the saddest things, but working with them would be very rewarding in that you are doing your part to help them on the road to recovery. | | devils_child wrote: | | Having done the job for 4 weeks now i've seen so much I have never seen before.... some of it very sad some of it good... It makes you appreciate your own life so much more seeing some of the stuff the kids have to go through, and the parents as well. | | spapad wrote: | | That's a job well worth doing! Gives you the chance to see things you would not normall even think about. I work as a secretary in a nusring home and sometimes it's amazing the things I see happen, and sometimes very sad. But all well worth seeing as it is life I normally would not be exposed to . | | devils_child wrote: | | Cleaning at the childrens hospital before all the other staff and patients get up and make a mess again..... and make breakfast for the little kiddies..... that's fun It all comes under operations.... So people like myself keep the hospital clean and functioning.... | | spapad wrote: | | Always better to have a job than sit at home and have no money! 4:30 or not! What is the gods names are you doing that early in the morning? Jeez, I'm comatose at that hour, or sleepwalking. LOL | | devils_child wrote: | | I always shuddered at the thought of waking up that early, but i have found it's not that bad... it's good finishing at 2:30.... As i'm still adjusting to it I've been really tired lately, but it's getting easier...and the pay is good at the end of the day, and the job is easy... So i'm going to stay with it for a while. | | spapad wrote: | | 4:30 am is ruff by my standards but, like you said, if it gets you what you want it's worth it! | | Becks wrote: | | This dude had a signed LP of British Steel I wanted, I told Craig to look at his eBay watchlist for all his Becks Birthday Shopping needs, but do you think he looked before it closed? LOL nope. Ah well hehe.
Sweeeet deal DC. 4:30am wakeups are worth it to know you have the monies to buy metal stuff, LOL! (Quoting Message by devils_child from Saturday, August 08, 2009 7:11:39 PM)

I was so relived Guid did the honors of ordering this year and I just sent him the money for the ticket. Last year I had to order them from work and I thought I would yell at someone to leave me the hell alone before I got finished buying the tickets! LOL
