Yeah I know it spapad....the next album "The Black Album" was the nail in the coffin. I know some people on here like this album, but really....it was NOT Metallica at all.
It was far far far too commercial and Hetfield with a pretty-boy hair-sprayed curls for the Enter Sandman video...wtf? lol! That whole album was so un-Metallica-like....
I remember when that was released and thinking to myself....this band is going down the drain.....but I still thought that someday they may change back......
and then the "Load" album came out...and I said to myself..."This band is done, end of story". And that was in 95' I think? Wow,what a lame outfit they really
have turned into. I would go as far as saying that Metallica is the WORSE disappointment in "MUSIC HISTORY"....out of all bands of all genres. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by spapad from Saturday, August 15, 2009 10:26:45 PM)

I'll second that! They went straight down the drain after "And Justice for all" Who knew they only had that little faith in their craft and more of an eye for mainstream money.

lol! Yeah I hear ya Guido....you remember like it was yesterday when Metallica was anything but a "joke"...and as you know they were a hard serious metal band.
I remember bitching about the 1988 "And Justice For All" album, just because they crossed over and did a video(One)...and how it wasn't as good as thier first
3 albums Kill "Em All,Ride The Lightning and Master Of Puppets.......but looking back now...after seeing and hearing everything that came out after And Justice...
it makes "And Justice For All" look like a jewl and makes me wonder...wow....if I only knew how much worse this band was going to get,I would of enjoyed the
And Justice album a little bit more for god's sake!!! lol!!!!

Oh, AMEN again, bro! "Used to be a force, not a joke." Hit the nail right on the head for me.
I always buy anything I like to support (audio, video, games) but I had a buddy pick up the St. Anger CD for about $1 USD on the streets of México. I should have bought a Coke here instead. Like someone posted somewhere on the net...it seems like the killed Kirk! What a waste of time and a buck!

Yeah Metallark...I used to like Metallica back in the 80's,I heard Ride The Lightning the week it was released 1984 and of course 1986 Master Of Puppets
but that was Cliff era.....he would not of been with this Metallica of today....I think he would of quit long ago. Its sad because they used to be a force, not a joke.

Yeah, I am with you J.D. on Metallica. Never understood their climb in the metal music scene. Never will. I will say no more.
