HAAAA! | | J.D. DIAMOND wrote: | | LOL! Yeah but thats his "job" is to dig those holes....you know how long and how much effort was put into digging these holes just for you that he did? lol!!
And same with the shoe munching...that is his "job" too!! If he didn't do it,he wouldn't be doing his job!!! lol!! | | guidogodoy wrote: | | Thanks bro. One of the best days of my life when I asked "who'se dog is THAT?" Have the answer now... mine!
I'll spare the pix of all the holes he has dug in my yard, freakig shoe mucher is well-documented here. | | J.D. DIAMOND wrote: | | Hey Guido!!! I didn't know that they can last up to 25 years!!! Wow. And yeah I heard they are smarter than cats and dogs too..they really have a human personality when ya get to know them a little.
And 'Calvin" your dog is beautiful my friend!!! What a nice dog I'll bet he is too. I like the pattern in his face...almost looks like "black metal corpse paint"...reminds me of Abbath from Immortal!!!!!!!! LOL!
Guido...you have a black metal dog!!!! LOL! Seriously man...he is one good looking dog for sure! | | guidogodoy wrote: | | Depends on the bird. Mine? I have heard up to 25 years. Parrots, more....you have to will them to people. Kiko is my best friend although Calvin demands more camera time. Had HER (hard to determine sex on a cocatiel) for some 10 years. She LIVES with me. I go upstairs to sleep, so does she (and Fred). I come down, so does she. Most social creatures in the world and I guarantee smarter than the dogs. Most things that kill them early is malnutrition, open door (you MUST keep a two door rule when they are out), and drowning. You can always tell a bird house as the toilet lid is always down. As they are both in bed, pictures to follow. Here I sit with Calvin who walked up my drive one day. First he didn't know it was coming. Second, he posed in front of my KK84 Hamer! Please notice the camo pillow for him...I try to fit in! LOL!

take in these birds from there man....... they are interesting creatures for sure!! How long is thier average life span Guido?
| | guidogodoy wrote: | | Kind words, my friend. The bird rescue place I mentioned is actually in Clinton Township. Drove down from Lansing to get my friend of some 10 years. When my last rescue bird passed away last year, I had my mom go to the same rescue place and bring me a new friend. Kiko and Fred. Both cocatiels. I'll have to take some new pictures tomorrow.

A lot of people wouldn't go through the time or expense of treating their pet the way you are. They ask so little of us and yet give back SO MUCH MORE! My German Shepherd is 13 years old now and still has quite a bit of fight left in him. I can't even think about not having him around, running up to me and whining when I get home. Love them while we can.... time is so short. | | J.D. DIAMOND wrote: | | Yeah I know most would give up and put the animal down...but I gaurantee if they met him they would change thier minds.
Putting him down was never a thought that crossed my mind....giving him insulin injections is no problem for me or him
he doesn't mind them at all as he can't even feel it,so he still has some life left in him....animals are cool,cats,dogs,ect.... | | hellrider 31038 wrote: | | yeah COOOMMMMMAAAANNNNNDDDDDEEEERRRRR that totally rocks man.thumbs up to you for that.alot of people would just have the animal put down. just like THE METAL GOD says we are compasionnate to | | J.D. DIAMOND wrote: | | Hey thanks Hellrider!!! Yeah like Guido said....I never mentioned it either because I thought it was common sense and just the right thing to do....
And Guido/spapad...I agree....if there were a heaven...it should be ran by animals!!! | | hellrider 31038 wrote: | | totally awesome COOOMMMMMAAAANNNNDDDDEEERRRR | | J.D. DIAMOND wrote: | | Yeah animals rock! I have a 12 year old cat that looks like a "wolf" named "Oscar"!! My old roommate abandoned him at 3 months old...
so I took him in and later on ,he developed "asthma"....I've been pilling him for years on prednisone(spelling?) to help with his asthma...
and from being on the pills...since November of 2008...he developed "diabetes" from being on steriods(predisone)...so I have to give him
a insulin injection once every 12 hours....it sounds like a pain in the ass but really its just another quick step at medicating him since he
already has to take the pills anyways....he has a total quality of life..if you saw him you would never know he was sick from this......
so thats why I haven't "put him down"....he still is kickin it so I am his "servant" lol!!! He takes his lumps very well for an animal that
is this heavy medicated.......and this cat eats like a "dog" no doubt.....many have said he could easily out eat a small dog!!! LOL!!

I think anyone should save an animal whenever possible. My little (getting fat) Lucy is a rescue dog. She was emaiciated when I got her, now, she bordering on "pig" because I hate to see her hungry for a second. Now I have to adjust my attitude.
As for shot peening, I'm sure you will find many worthy. LOL
