Hi ya Becka!!
Great to see you're alive and kicking Freeze!!
Spa During my 2nd marriage I was a truck driver and I stopped at a McDonalds somewhere in Michigan. I took my wedding band off to give my hands a good scrubbing and by the time I realized I wasn't wearing it, I was about 50 miles from home. Man, was I scared to tell her I lost the damn thing!!! I found the reciept that was still in the bag and when I got home I called the number to the store and after describing it I was told someone had indeed found it in the washroom and turned it in...I had it back in less than a week!!!!!! It's a wonderful feeling when you're the beneficiary of a total strangers integrity...cheers

Thanks Bev for the welcome back. Good to be around!
Now, I hope I don't bore eveyone to death, but I have an interesting story. Almost 2 1/2 years ago, I got a new Honda Accord, and had a, I suppose, bad habit of forgeting to put them (my keys) in my desk drawer when I got to work, and would leave them sitting on my desk. About a month or two after I bought the car, that bad habit caued me to loose this key right off my desk at work! I figured someone had thought they had sat their key down on my desk and picked it up by accident. Anyway, I had to have a friend drive me home so I could get my extra key before I could drive my car home that night. Also this key missing concerned me as it had a panic button so If someone just walked around the area pointing at cars they would eventually get mine to sound off, but time went by, the key was never returned, but nothing ever happened to my car either, so I'd given up ever seeing that key ages ago. Today, I got a package from the main branch of one of our local grocery stores. In the package was a note that stated that my keys had been turned in to the office at their WV store, and that office sent them on to The main office in Roanoke, VA. Due to the little discount scan bar on my key ring they were able to find my address and send me back my key. So, I now have my key back after over two years and a half! Nice to know whoever took them thought to take them to the store, or even cared enough to bother. Bless them! Edited at: Wednesday, September 16, 2009 6:10:55 PM |
