I was reading they've had a high number of fatalities,I guess it couldn't really be prevented. Still sucks when things like this happen.
I've got these cool new pads now that you can put on your drums so that it sort of mutes them a bit.. Also I got those jazzy type sticks , the brushes? and I tied an elastic band on the end so they mute even more and I can play at night now wihout upsetting my neighbours.. not that they've had the balls to come over and complain yet lol. It helps out for when I'm trying to play along to a track, I don't have to blast it and deafen myself while I'm trying to learn a new track lol.
You have a facebook page? You can find me under Joe Draper (my pic is the one with me the little girl and the little doggy lol. Yay for picking up your drum sticks again. I made a video today of me playing Living After Midnight, may do it again tomorrow just to try and perfect it more LOL! | | joedraper wrote: | | Morning Becks (evening time for you by now lol)
I hope that you and all your family are safe with the tsunami.. I must admit, when I hear of natural disasters such as these I do tend to get very nervous for those who are in the direct firing line.
Hmm.. I've had a wee break from drumming too, I've just been so busy with kids etc and had to take a short break but today is the day I pick my sticks up again.. I can feel it in my blood lol. |
