HAAAA! That I was I meant to type in my hurry off to work today. VPN is a protocol for Private Networks. VCN lets someone take control of your machine. No matter, My point is still valid. You can turn it off / disable it by right clicking on it in the tray. Really screw with the guy. Ho ho! What fun! It is free so that is why so many companies adopt it. I sometimes use it to comminicate with my office computer but it is slower than crap with two 100 lines each way. As a network admin, I don't give ANYONE access to my machine. We even get new machines every 3 (now possibly 4) years and I'll still do everything myself.
Just let me know when you want to disable that sucker. Piece o' cake! LOL! Keep flipping it off and on. You'll really screw with his brain. HAAAAAAAAAA! [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by Head banger from Monday, December 07, 2009 10:08:50 AM)

its VNC. I use VPN when I work from home. since said fat guy is in toronto, that would be a hell of a walk. he would be a skinny pissed off emaciated bastard by the time he got here.

Shut off VPN or whatever they are using as company spyware to take remote control of your computer. THAT will piss them off! Nothing funnier than a fat guy who has to actually get himself out of a chair to visit a rogue user! LOL!!!!

It comes into our computers remotly once a month. the annoying bastards complain about the music on my hard drive, and the photos of my vacation. I am sure they will bitch about firefox. they even complaind that I downloaded a compatibility pac from microsoft to alow my older version of office read newer office files from a client??? I might try firefox at home, but I see an error once in a while, so it doesnt bother me much.

No. Browsers are almost identical nowadays and the fact that you install Firefox does NOT mean that you have to uninstall IE. Both can run simultaneously. IT will have no idea unless they prevent you from installing your own apps.
