I have an escape in atlanta, probably the best I can manage. [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by ron h from Saturday, March 06, 2010 4:48:12 AM) | | ron h wrote: | | HI Spa. No, it's not my CDL, can't have one of them anymore because of medical reasons, it was my regular operators liscense. In '06 I got a 'warning' ticket for going 49 in a 45, no big deal. Later on when I went to get my liscense re-newed I was informed that it had been suspended!! Found out it was for a ticket that I supposedly got for driving on an expired liscense a full 2 months BEFORE it expired!! The only ticket I've had since '89 was that "warning' ticket, so I was clueless. Went to the Porter County Clerks Office (the County where I got the 'warning' at), and I supposedley got THAT ticket the same time I got the 'warning'...hmmmm!! News to me. I tried fighting it at first, but to no avail. Anyway, by the time it was all said and done (plus plenty of 'fee's'), I also wound up having to take the written and driving tests again as well...only ever did that once and that was 32 years ago!!! HAAAA!! I took the written last week...only missed 1 out of 50!!! Took the driving yesterday and finally got it back...whew!! Getting around for me is never really a problem as I've got cool family and friends, but it totally sucked just not having that freedom to come and go as I please. Now I'm looking for a car...so if your out there HB, send something my way!!! lol | | spapad wrote: | | Ron, you have been without a license for that long! In this remote part of the states that would be a death sentence since you have to drive to get ANYWHERE. Congrats! Or, are we talking CDL License???
