I'm not sure how good my chances are of trying the Dixie living in NZ but with a name like that it's gotta be awesome. Sounds like the kind of stuff that would have people speaking in tongues. If I ever make it to the States it'll be something to look forward to. Microbreweries are getting to be big business over here too. What I like about them is that the beer is always tasty and hits you like a sledgehammer. There's nothing worse than drinking five or six beers and not even feeling a buzz.

We have many Micro brews here in the states, and if you ever get a chance to test a "Dixie Blackened Voodoo" it's like a sweeter version of Harps and I don't normally like sweet, but it's good. I love it. Could be because I olnly see it about once every five years, but I would recommend trying one.

I did like the wine sellers places. Old underground war bunkers, perfect for holding wine at the ideal temp. Had a great day there. Yeah in some places they do that. I used to do stuff like order two or three at a time or get a bottle while it settled or have some shots. Much to my then girlfriends disgust.

Great beer in Germany. I used to live near the Denmark / Germany border. Used to go down to Germany all the time for beers. Never been to Berlin though. That will be awesome. Check out what bands are playing while you are there. Should be some good stuff happening.

Excellant Vail! Sounds like an awesome trip! BE SURE to pack clothes for ALL Times of year, as I went in June to Viesbatten and it was cold as hell. We were not prepared for it, as the Greek forcast for Germany at the time had put temps in the 70's. Never rose out of the 50's while we were there. It sucked.
