Let's put it like this. Once she hits about 13 you may as well just hand cash over to her and let her pick the clothes she wants to buy because anything you buy on your own she probably will tell you she likes, just to be nice, but your not likely to ever see it on her back! Of course I still tag along shopping so she doesn't buy anything I find just plain stupid, but at least she doesn't have tacky tastes, so it's not really an issue. I hate going shopping with her though because she will spend hours picking out clothes and trying everything on. It's exhausting shopping with her. My idea of shopping is to focus on what I want and go get it and get the hell out! So, its shopping hell day when she shops. Make up, that's not been too bad so far. I won't let her wear anything outside of eyeliner, mascara, a trace of face powder, and some eye shadow, but not too heavy. No blush, no lipstick. Keep it natural or take it off is my slogan. I've seen friends of hers that wear makeup like they are clowns in a circus!
My problem was I followed the instructions she gave me. "Please bring me some clothes for tomorrow" and of course I remembered toothpaste and brush, but failed to remember, straight iron, hairdryer, make up, and a few other things. So, that's it. she packs a bag next time she takes off and there is anychance she's going to call and ask to spend the night. Spa you're scaring me.. I'm going to have a teenage daughter in like... 10 years from now..and it sounds like they just get more complicated in the wardrobe department as they get older.. She's already got that cheap kiddy make up set all little girls insist on, goes through a number of outfit changes a day ans is still hopelessly in love with Justin Bieber.. and she's 4!

| From now on! If my child goes to a friend's house where there is the most remote possibility that she will spend the night. I'm making her pack a bag before she leaves the house. Just spent an hour taking her all the crap, I did'nt think of for such an over night stay. Nope, never again. Prepacked bag is a must!
