Find out what it was, just in case all my efforts fail. I won't even go in that room tonight because that thing is big and nasty. My house was full of them (we even had a rat or two) until my mom used this special chalk and used it on cabinets, some boxes, etc. Haven't seen one ever since. It had Chinese lettering, so who knows what's in that stuff. | | spapad wrote: | | I know all about roaches. The City of Richmond, VA is full of them in the old parts. No matter how much my roomie and I bombed the place with chemicals they still came. I you could have seen the garbage cans for our apartment you would puke. The roaches were so prevalent, that our way of throwning out the trash was to have one of us go down to the trash cans with a broom, open it, and then stand back while the other threw the trash from the second floor into the bin. The bin was completely covered in roaches and you really didn't want to touch them. Gross, gives me chills to this day to think about how many were around. | | Vaillant 3.0 wrote: | | Heh. I remember I was barely waking up one morning (still in bed), and I decided to turn myself over to the other side. Once I did, I saw something walk on the edge of the matress. After narrowing my eyes to focus on that object (didn't have glasses on), lo and behold, it was a roach. A big one, right next to me. That certainly woke me up. Yeech. | | spapad wrote: | | Oh god, that chills me to the bones to think that thing could sneak up on me, and be near me! The revulsion is too much to take! I like pet rats, of other peoples, would never own one myself, but this thing is evil! I want it dead! | | hellrider 31038 wrote: | | hopefully you will not have a surprise visitor with you while you are sleeping.lol. | | spapad wrote: | | Pissing me off, or scaring the hell out of me?? Two days ago a rat moved into my daughter's bed room. I've brought every rat trapping object to our defense and yet still, the big bastard is not dead yet. Got glue traps today to add to the mayhem, and loaded the foundation with poison. I hope it dies or gets caught soon. It's big, it's loud, and it hisses at times, strangely enough, it makes a noise like a dog shaking off water on occasion. I hate this demon. My dog is afraid of it. I sent Flora to stay with her grandfather until this menace if removed from my home. Just in case I bought an old fashioned heavy broom so I don't have to worry about swinging it full force if I happen to stumble upon it on it's little trips to the kitchen, which it may as well give up on since I don't have a scrape for it to eat! Bastard Rat! I can't wait til he's dead so I can disinfect the entire house! Edited at: Friday, July 23, 2010 6:09:43 PM |
