Actually, the band would have wanted to keep Simon Phillips as their drummer, but he declined because of other commitments. They eventually had Les Binks with them for the next two years, until the band decided that they needed a more straight-forward drummer. In came Dave Holland, who lasted through the whole 80s, before he quit because of health and personal reasons. Since then Scott Travis has been the band's drummer.
