Today I ran an 1/2 marathon (little shorter, really, they measured it in nautical miles) organized by the US Navy. While extremely hot, it was organized to commemorate the distance from the shore to the horizon that was travelled on D-Day.
It was cool because they contacted the military in Afghanistan and ran the race simultaneously. They streamed the event live in both places. The finisher's medal was a giant anchor! [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by Palmer Griffiths from Sunday, June 05, 2011 7:00:52 PM)
