Great review, Nupe! I think I shall give my two cents on this little bundle of awesomeness.
Like Nupe, I also like the new revamped look of the hellion and the photos in the CD booklet. The CD sounded great in the car, although I was kinda hoping for fewer live bonus tracks. BUT! Oh well. I can burn a copy of it sans bonus tracks later.
Today I got the chance to watch the concert on DVD. I was quite surprised at the quality of the footage. Didn't expect it to be so good. And JP? Well, they sounded freakin' awesome!!! Sounded much better in this one than in the 1982 Memphis Live Vengeance concert, in my opinion, and you could see the band really well since the sun was still out, which was a big plus (at least for me). LOVE how energetic the band was, jumping and running around even in that 100 degree heat. Highlights for me were Screaming for Vengeance, Diamonds and Rust (great screams from Rob!!), Victim of Changes, and Hell Bent for Leather...and also Glenn. Just look at all the faces the makes!! ;) Rob, too!!! Love how he danced and moved to the music. And KK. Awww, KK! I miss him. And let's not forget that shoe under the wall of Marshalls. Heheh. Overall, I enjoyed watching the concert, and give it two thumbs up. A very unique concert, that's for sure.
And now I shall wait for the new album to come out. And for JP to come back to Glen Helen-er, rather, San Manuel Amphitheater (as it is called now) to promote said new album. Only an hour and a half away from where I live. Although San Manual Amphitheater is also another good venue. Either one would be fine.
