I have not had the pleasure of seeing (hearing) Motorhead live so I can only tell you what I know. You may be right J.D. Diamond, Motorhead is harder but I still enjoy Maiden best because I know more of their music. But I would not be against seeing Motorhead live. I quess that would help make an informed decision.

I have to say Iron Maiden. They have a lot more variations and are tighter and more "metallish".
I also love Motörhead, but Maiden is so much more music for me!
