I definitely like Queensryche! I am a BIG Geoff Tate fan. My bass player LOVES Nevermore. In fact, I believe their former lead singer is performing here locally.

Thanx, Budred. I have listened somewhat to the earlier Priest stuff, but it doesnt do much for me so far. That can change, of course.
For me, it gets really exciting with Turbo, and then it gets better and better with each album

Check out some of the earlier albums. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. I got into Judas Priest in 1980.
Their sound was pretty much developed by this time. Even though each album has it's own distinct style to it, and
they progress each time out, the early albums were the basis of that progression. The formulative years so to speak.
They have a very diverse style to them. Maybe not the Priest sound that most are used to but very good music

Yippee, I just got the remastered Ram It Down and Turbo for in all 120 Dkr, about 22 US $.
There are some benefits to living in a country of metal ignoramuses.
So my order is currently:
1. Nostradamus
2. Angel Of Retribution
3. Demolition
4. Jugulator
5. Painkiller
6. Ram It Down
7. Turbo

Staind Class. It may not contain all of their best songs but for sheer strength by numbers
it can't be touched. Invaders can go but every other song on that album is badass. |

| It has to be Unleashed In The East. From start to finish that album rocks with the best songs Priest had to offer at the time. The remastered version is even better than the origional release. Not one dorky,cheesy song !!! |

Stained Class is indeed flawless - I can't think of a thing wrong with it either. The songs have awesome lyrics, they have a meaning. Unlike Turbo which is corny as LOL! I love DOTF so that's my second equal place with SFV. I like Night Comes Down, so I enjoy the whole album, so it's quite a close second IMO. SFV is the album that spends the most time in the CD player of my car lol - the weakest song on that album for me is Pain and Pleasure, but I still like the song. Painkiller is actually tied up there too for me. It's an awesome example of kick ass heavy metal. But I agree, Leather Rebel is a bit of a dorky song. Killing Machine is another awesome album, haha I like Evil Fantasies! For me Take On The World is the weakest song on the album, although it does get stuck in my head occasionally. But like I said, seen as I can think of no faults with Stained Class, I also think it's the best Priest album. I may have Priest albums I play a bit more, but Stained Class is a true classic.

I stated the same view long long ago. My first JP album, I believe. Not only does it kick major ass, it holds a special place for me just because it turned me onto a life-long obsession.

| Take that back, I was on a Nostradomus high. I personally think that Defenders of the Faith is their best Album overall. Their most overrated albums are - Screaming for Vengeance, British Steel, Painkiller. I love those albums, but people forget that Priest made other great albums too. The Most underrated albums are - Turbo, Ram It Down, Demolition. Just my opinion. I am sure everyone else has one. |
