Good Morning, all! A nice day here...70 mph winds last night!!!! HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Spa, wonderful sentiments! The idea that it is mind that is the key intrigues me. It is so much like what I have been saying! When one understands that we are what we think, we learn such wonderful power. To be noble or "godlike" is a direct result of continued effort in right thinking. It is the effect of long-cherished association with godlike thought. By the same process, we tear ourselves down and create a bestial, ignoble character through groveling thought.
So many people look to some supernatural explanation or power for their life, future, condition or destiny, never realizing the answer lies within, not in the sky or in some all-powerful deity. In fact, just as you said, we are Creators! It is true. Of all the beautiful truths pertaining to the soul which have been brought to light in this age, none is more gladdening or fruitful of divine promise and confidence than this: Man is the Master of Thought, the Molder of Character and the Maker and Shaper of Condition, Environment and Destiny. [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by spapad from Tuesday, September 29, 2009 10:59:33 PM) | | spapad wrote: | | I never believed in Matea, untill today. Although I've been reading a work of fiction, which at times I've been disappointed in as I had "figured it out" before the big reveal.
This next entry is something I find very interesting. Do with it what you will:
Our minds were Created in the image of God. This is the great gift, and God is waiting for us to understand it. Alll around the world, we are gazing skyward, waiting for God.... never realizing that God is waiting on Us. We see ourselves as helpless sheep buffeted around by the God who made us. We kneel like frightened children, begging for help, for forgiveness, for good luck. But once we realize that we are truely created in the Creator's image, we will start to understand that we , too, must be Creators. When we understand this fact, the doors will burst wide open for human potential.
Just a late night thought from a bookworm. One I find as refreshing as what DF said a few weeks ago. Enlightenment. |

lol I'm so used to having a bigger dog that I automatically bath him in the bath tub. Last night I figured that he's small enough to just do him in the sink.. Much easier to clean up afterwards and he had the option of bathing in one sink and rinsing off in the other. I think he kind of liked it lol.
Also when I give him his anti-biotics he takes them like I'm giving him a treat. He's so funny sometimes.
I should post some recent pics of him in the pets thread sometime soon. He's got a nast skin infection from a flea bite, he must have picked one or two up from his walks and I never saw it on him but he's got to take the pills, have his back dosed with rubbing alcohol (surgical spirits?) and then have special ointment put on it. I feel so sorry for him. He got new special shampoo last night to help too so hopefully in a few days he'll be back to his perky self.
I just hate the idea of hurting him but it is to make him better. I must say this though, he's very good when it comes to the whole routine, he wimpers a bit but never tried to run away or anything.. still I feel so bad with him hurting like that. |

I was reading they've had a high number of fatalities,I guess it couldn't really be prevented. Still sucks when things like this happen.
I've got these cool new pads now that you can put on your drums so that it sort of mutes them a bit.. Also I got those jazzy type sticks , the brushes? and I tied an elastic band on the end so they mute even more and I can play at night now wihout upsetting my neighbours.. not that they've had the balls to come over and complain yet lol. It helps out for when I'm trying to play along to a track, I don't have to blast it and deafen myself while I'm trying to learn a new track lol.
You have a facebook page? You can find me under Joe Draper (my pic is the one with me the little girl and the little doggy lol. I hope that you and all your family are safe with the tsunami.. I must admit, when I hear of natural disasters such as these I do tend to get very nervous for those who are in the direct firing line.
Hmm.. I've had a wee break from drumming too, I've just been so busy with kids etc and had to take a short break but today is the day I pick my sticks up again.. I can feel it in my blood lol. |

Spa, have you ever read any books by Neal Donald Walsh? His series is Conversations With God.. I have read two and his message is exactly that.. We are all God-like beings. Created in equality. We are here to create, not to learn, obey and beg for forgiveness (what the heck would free will mean if we had to beg all the time?)
Anyways, I think if you haven't already gotten your mits on these books try hunt them down. I have a feeling you'll love and understand the message really well. There's estimated 'arrival' times on this site too, it's due to hit it's first place in about half an hour. Hopefully it is only 1 metre high!
